Paris sues Hallmark

September 7, 2007

Yesterday Paris Hilton filed a lawsuit against Hallmark Cards in Los Angeles for reportedly using her image without her permission.

Hallmark made a card that said, “Paris’s First Day as a Waitress,” with her face on a cartoon’s body. The waitress (Paris) is saying, “Don’t touch that. It’s hot. What’s hot.(asks the customer) That’s hot(Paris answers).”

All they did was use her face and her trademark,”that’s hot” phrase and that prompted her to sue. I don’t think she really cares about the card itself, just the fact that she’s missing out on her cut of money.

She’s suing Hallmark for $100,000 because they didn’t get her approval. Either way, she’ll probably get money out of the deal.
