Paul Newman: Battling Cancer
Paul Newman refuses to comment on reports that he is battling lung cancer but a friend and business partner confirmed today that the rumors are true.
A.E. Hotchner, told The Associated Press, “It’s a form of cancer and he’s dealing with it.”
Hotchner didn’t confirm reports that Newman is undergoing treatment at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Hospital in New York City and all Newman’s rep had to say is that Paul is “doing nicely.”
Newman is an Oscar-winning actor best known for his role in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid which came out in 1969.
Hotchner and Newman worked together in the 1980’s when they opened a salad dressing company together and Hotchner says that Newman told him of the diagnosis 18 months ago.
