Rachael Ray: Throat Surgery, Cancer Scare

October 2, 2008

Doctors gave Rachael Ray a scare when they found a lump on her larynx and were worried it could be throat cancer.

Luckily, the lump was benign but Ray, a former chain smoker, will have to undergo surgery to have the lump removed and will be without her voice for two months according the National Enquirer.

“Rachael’s first thoughts were she had throat cancer….She thought she was going to die!”

“Doctors told her they plan to remove the growth,” an Enquirer spy blabs, “And she will not be able to speak for up to two months.”

The culinary expert will have a hard time filming her daily show The Rachael Ray Show so word is she will be working overtime to tape a “marathon” of segments to get her through the time without her voice.
