Rihanna Facing Potential Legal Charges for Tattoo Incident
‘Umbrella‘ singer Rihanna could be facing some serious legal charges from the New York City Health Department for performing some illegal tattooing!
“She came by to hang out with us and her regular tattoo artist Bang Bang,” says East Side Ink owner Yadira. “He decided he wanted to get a tattoo from her and then two of the other artists decided they wanted to get one as well.”
Reports say that Rihanna gave each of the artists umbrella designs with the letter R on them. The NYC Health Department is taking this pretty seriously, especially since they demand that tattoo artists hold a license to work in the city. She could face up to 2,000 for her error.
“Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City’s Health Code. We are sending someone down to follow up on this,” a city spokesperson said.
