Ringo Starr: Happy 68th Birthday
Today marks the 68th birthday of Beatle drummer Ringo Starr and he has a special request for everyone on his day.
A few weeks ago, Starr told Access Hollywood that he wanted his birthday to be known as the first official “Peace and Love Day.” He also requests that fans shout “Peace and Love” at noon wherever they are to show their support.
Starr explained himself by saying, “I’m a product of the 60s and it was a very influential period in my life, and you know, my head was turned around a bit, my eyes were opened as it were.
In fact, I even have it on my arm, ‘Peace and love’. I see nothing wrong with peace and love.”
Fair enough request Ringo. I should have thought of a cool slogan for people to shout on my birthday. “Peanut Butter and Jelly!”
There’s always next year.
