Rob Lowe: Suing Ex-Nanny For At Least $1 Million
Rob Lowe and wife, Sheryl, are suing two ex-nannies and a former chef because of violation of a confidentiality agreement and their plot to spread “malicious lies” about the family.
Lowe wrote a 26-page complaint telling all about the nanny trying to seduce him and then accuse him of being unfaithful to his wife. She told the actor about her interest in him multiple times and reportedly told people that “she wished he would divorce Sheryl Lowe.”Another nanny and a chef were also involved in the plot and were trying to extort $1.5 million from the family.
The chef is also under fire in a separate 19-page report for having sex on their bed “with third parties,” stealing prescription drugs and giving them to others, breaking security cameras, and spreading rumors about Sheryl Lowe being cold, heartless, and “unclean.”
The nanny under the most fire is Laura Boyce and she was hired in early 2007, before quitting in November, to take care of Lowe’s two sons.
According to the Lowe rep, “Instead of paying off as most celebrities do, he decided that you have to make a stand on this. That’s very very rare and unusual. Most people try to sweep these things under the rug because the allegations are so damaging if they get out. But Rob was not going to be blackmailed. So he’s fighting it.”
