Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish: Official

Rumors of Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish being a couple have been flying since they costarred in the movie Stop-Loss together a while back but now it looks like they are official.

The duo stepped out together last night at the 2008 Australians in Film “Breakthrough Awards” in Beverly Hills and made it very clear that they were together. They reportedly held hands and were affectionate throughout the ceremony.

The couple were spotted together in December but have lying low ever since. Perhaps the very public relationship between Phillippe’s ex-wife Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal encouraged Phillippe and Cornish to finally show everyone that they are together as well.

He wishes his ex no harsh feelings though saying, “I love her and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is,” on “The Howard Stern Show,” adding that Gyllenhaal is “a good dude.”
