Sarah Palin: $150,000 Wardrobe Update

Well the time has finally come when Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin is hurting running mate John McCain in the polls and new details about a $150,000 Republican Party funded wardrobe update can’t help the situation.
Palin spent almost $50,000 at Saks Fifth Avenue as well as more than $75,000 on clothes at high-end Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis but her spokeswoman doesn’t want us to focus on her wardrobe expenditures.
“With all of the important issues facing the country right now, it’s remarkable that we’re spending time talking about pantsuits and blouses,” said a Palin spokeswoman, Tracey Schmitt. “It was always the intent that the clothing goes to a charitable purpose after the campaign.”
Oh so giving the clothes to charity makes this kind of spending all OK. Obviously, looks count for a lot and I hope with that kind of money, she has truckloads of clothes to show for it.
We’ll see come election day if that fancy wardrobe was worth the dough.
