February 25, 2010

Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio landed the number one spot at the box office, raking in $41.1 million for their hit thriller, “Shutter Island.” This is the fourth film the pair has collaborated on and the team has proved they get better with time. Scorsese’s film, “The Departed” was Scorsese’s previous personal best at $29.6 million while DiCaprio’s biggest previous debut was “Catch Me If You Can.”

Since this actor-director team continues to experience success together, it can be expected they will continue to work together in the future.
