Steven Curtis Chapman: Daughter Killed
Contemporary Christian singer, Steven Curtis Chapman, is mourning the loss of his 5-year-old daughter Maria after she was killed Wednesday.
Maria was playing in the driveway when a Toyota Land Cruiser driven by her teenage brother struck her. She was rushed to the hospital but later died from her injuries.Several members of the Chapman family unfortunately witnessed the accident.
A statement on Chapman’s website says, “Maria was rushed to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, transported by LifeFlight, but died of her injuries there.”
The accident happened in front of the Chapman’s house in Williamson County Tennessee.
The couple have been big on promoting international and have three adopted daughters, one of which was Maria, from China. They also have three biological children.
