Suge Knight: Arrested In Vegas

Suge Knight headed back to jail today (Wednesday) after being picked up in Las Vegas on assault and drug charges.

The 43-year-old founder of the bankrupt Death Row Records was arrested when police were called to the scene on a busy Vegas street to find Knight standing over his longtime girlfriend with a knife in his hand.

Reportedly, Knight did not stab his unidentified girlfriend, who said she has been with him for three years, but was treated for minor injuries when taken to the hospital.

“The victim purposely grabbed the steering wheel and caused the vehicle to hit the curb,” police said in a statement. Police said the woman tried to run away, but Knight caught her.

Along with a felony charge of assault, when Knight’s inventory was done, he was found in possession of Ecstasy and hydrocodone leading to possession charges as well.

Knight’s rap sheet is quite long and includes an assault charge in 1992, in which he was placed on probation then jailed for five years for violating that probation and a parole violation in 2003 for punching a parking attendant in Miami.
