Suzanne Pleshette Dies; The Bob Newhart Show Actress Dies At Age 70

Suzanne Pleshette has died at the age of 70. Pleshette died in her home of respiratory failure. She had previously been treated for lung cancer.
Suzanne Pleshette had a long career, but was best known for playing Bob Newhart’s wife on the 70’s television show The Bob Newhart Show. She was nominated for four Emmy Awards in her lifetime.
Pleshette also appeared in the movie The Birds, and recently had cameos on shows such as Will and Grace and 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter. She also famously played Leona Helmsley in a television movie in the early 90’s. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Poston. The two met in 1959, but weren’t married until 40+ years later.
