“Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire.”

The legendarily high-maintenance pop diva underwent a soup-to-nuts physical transformation, checking her glossy celebrity patina at the door in order to convincingly portray the film’s Ms. Weiss: a drab but deeply empathetic soul helping a troubled teenager in ’80s Harlem. Far from the image Carey has cultivated for years, the character is no oil painting of music-video pulchritude, with her lank hair, a wardrobe of rayon sweater-coats and, yes, even a sparse mustache creeping across her upper lip.

“I had to lose all vanity,” Carey said. “I had to change my demeanor, my inside, layers of who I am, to become that woman.” Please, you can’t act!

Lindsay Lohan has taken to Twitter to slam her dad Michael, following reports that he is seeking conservatorship over her, and that he’s offered an entertainment TV show tape-recorded conversations between himself and his ex-wife, Dina, in which they discuss their daughter’s well-being.

“My father is a lunatic & doesn’t even deserve such a title since he’s never been around in my life other than when he’d threaten me & my family,” Tweeted Lindsay, who just finished shooting the thriller Machete opposite Robert DeNiro. “He should be where he has always put himself after verbally abusing and physically abusing people all my life-behind bars.”

The pair were spotted having dinner and acting flirtatious Tuesday night at Soho House in New York City Tuesday, where they sat with friends who included Simpson pal, the hairstylist Ken Paves, according to the New York Post’s Page Six.

But a source close to Butler, 39, says the hullabaloo is probably over nothing.

“I’m never surprised to hear that Gerard is with someone new. None of those relationships last,” the source says. “Certainly he’s not planning on settling down with Jessica Simpson … Gerard plays the field … and Jessica is lonely … and she lost weight and is looking good.”

“Every time you hear about him out with someone, he’s flirting and ‘cozy’ with them and making googly eyes at them,” the source said. “Maybe that’s just what he does with everyone. Maybe that’s just how he is.”

New Jennifer Aniston Film- Stolen?

September 16, 2009 by m.coonce · Leave a Comment

Greg Crowder and Tony Freitas just filed a lawsuit against NBC Universal, claiming they gave a script titled “The Truth” to Scott Bernstein in 2006 — when Scott was VP of Production for Universal Pictures.

In the federal lawsuit filed by the screenwriters’ lawyer, Ed McPherson, Crowder claims he had multiple meetings with Bernstein about the script — but Bernstein told Crowder it needed a rewrite before Universal would buy it. Crowder said he’d rewrite it but only if Universal paid. Bernstein wouldn’t pay so the deal fell apart.
Two screenwriters claim the script for Jennifer Aniston’s new movie was straight up stolen from them by NBC Universal — and now they want to stop the movie from being released … or they want more than $100,000,000.

Fast forward to 2009 … Crowder says he submitted the script to another film company, who told him they were “concerned that [he] might have stolen” the script from the upcoming Jennifer Aniston/Aaron Eckhart project called “Love Happens.” The suit says it was the other way around.

Crowder and Freitas are asking a judge to block NBC Universal from releasing the film on September 18. If it gets released they want the profits … which they estimate at more than $100,000,000.
