According to sources, there is a new Adam Sandler comedy in the works and 80’s rapper Vanilla Ice has been asked to join the cast. The 43 year old singer is rumored to be taking the role as Antonio, a gay wedding planner from Long Island. Sandler is going to star as the father-of-the-groom who lives with his son and fueds with his son’s fiance.

As strange as it sounds that Vanilla Ice is acting, believe it or not he does have a couple of comedies on his resume.

Vanilla Ice recently told sources that he was still able to earn a living on his original career of singing. He said “I play 100 concerts a year. I’ve never left the music industry.”

Actor Adam Sandler was honored on Tuesday with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Sandler’s daughters, ages 2 and 4 attended the ceremony. The girls took the microphone from Sandler several times during his speech to say “I love my daddy.” “Let’s hear it for my kids, who are now showing you that I cannot control them,” Sandler joked.

Sandler’s star is number 2,431 on the Walk of Fame and is across the street from actor Henry Winkler’s star. Winkler spoke during the ceremony, saying that the location of Sandler’s star is “bashert,” Hebrew for meant to be, since it is located directly across the street from his own.

Sandler gained fame “Saturday Night Live,” and has starred in several films since like “Big Daddy” and “The Wedding Singer”. He is starring in a film that opens later this month called “Just Go With it” in which he stars with Jennifer Aniston.

Also a singer — among his notable tunes is “The Chanukah Song” — he has released five albums.
