Chris Jericho Arrested
January 29, 2010 by m.coonce · Leave a Comment

Staggering, isn’t it? But famous WWE wrestler Chris Jericho and cripplingly anonymous WWE wrestler Gregory ‘Hurricane’ Helms are only too happy to prove that point for you. That’s why they’ve both been arrested in Kentucky for drunkenly fighting each other in the back of a taxi.
Real fighting, too – apparently Chris Jericho and Gregory ‘Hurricane’ Helms didn’t even strip down to their pants, shriek scripted insults at each other or trade poncey little pre-rehearsed slaps that they both reacted to in an unnecessarily exaggerated way. So, goodness, they must have been drunk.
To be a professional wrestler, it does without saying that you need three things – 1) a girl’s haircut, 2) a silly name and 3) a single-digit IQ. The latter explains a lot about wrestlers – whether it’s Hulk Hogan’s constant self-inflicted troubles or Chris Benoit doing something unspeakably awful to his family before killing himself.

Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife, Denise Richards went on Oprah and talked to her about her relationship with Charlie Sheen. She discussed how they’re marriage, though, at times it would get heated, he never hit her; calling the current situation with new wife ’sad.’
She also recounted how last Christmas, when the 911 call came in about Charlie Sheen, she received a phone call from him. He wanted to talk to his children and wish them a Merry Christmas; only thing is, by this time, he was already in jail. Richards, knowing he was in jail, let them talk to Sheen, but didn’t disclose his situation to them. They’re on 4 & 5 yrs old.
Later, at school, the kids were told by other students that their Dad went to jail, so Richards sat them down and told them what happened.

Charlie Sheen May Be Prosecuted w/o Wife’s Help
Brook Mueller may want a chance to work things out with husband Charlie Sheen in the wake of her claims that he threatened her with a switchblade, but experts say the seriousness of her accusations may get prosecutors involved even without her cooperation.
Lawyers for the Hollywood couple have asked a judge to throw out a restraining order imposed shortly after Sheen was arrested on domestic violence charges Christmas Day, so that they can work on their relationship.
The restraining order, common in Colorado domestic violence cases, prevented Sheen from having contact with Mueller, possessing weapons or using drugs and alcohol.
But even if Mueller is willing to reconcile with Sheen, prosecutors may choose to proceed with a court case without Mueller’s testimony, noted criminal defense attorney Roy Black told “Good Morning America.”
“There’s no question they can proceed without her cooperation …because they can use her statements, her 911 call,” Black said.
Prosecutors would, however, have an easier time with Mueller’s help, he said. Though Mueller told a 911 operator that Sheen had threatened her life with a knife, she was reportedly drunk at the time.
“How much can you rely upon what she said?” Black asked. “She says that he has a knife, he denies it. He says it’s just an argument over the children, she says it’s more than that.”

The California Highway Patrol said Sunday that Pamela Bach was pulled over Saturday night just south of U.S. 101 on Laurel Canyon Boulevard. She was booked at the LAPD’s Van Nuys jail and released.
The patrol says Bach showed blood alcohol levels of .14 and .13 on a breathalyzer test. California’s legal limit is .08.
Bach was charged with misdemeanor hit-and-run in 2007, but the charges were dropped when she agreed to pay minor damages to the woman whose car she hit. She pleaded no contest to a drunken driving charge in August and was placed on three years of informal probation, court records show.
She was also ordered to go to a treatment program and not drive with any measurable amount of alcohol in her blood.
A phone message left for Bach’s attorney, Ronald D. Hedding, was not immediately returned Monday. She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 24.
Bach was married to Hasselhoff for 16 years until he filed for divorce in 2006. She appeared as a cafe owner in several episodes of Hasselhoff’s series, “Baywatch.”

An Ohio police chief accused of stealing items from the surrogate mom who carried Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s twin daughters was found guilty Monday on three of six charges.
Martin’s Ferry Police Chief Barry Carpenter, 40, along with another police chief, was accused of meeting with freelance photographers last May and offering items such as a poem, photos, legal documents about the surrogacy agreement, and pictures of ultrasounds. A photographer alerted the surrogacy agency, which reported the thefts to police.
After 12 hours of deliberation, a jury found Carpenter guilty of receiving stolen property, theft in office and tampering with evidence. He was found not guilty on two counts of burglary and one count of unauthorized use of property or services.
Carpenter, who was silent and held his head in his hands as the decisions were read, faces up to 10 years in prison at his sentencing Dec. 10. Until then, he must wear a home confinement device at his mother’s home and will be tracked with a GPS device.

Chris Brown Receives a Shiny Review For Probation
November 20, 2009 by m.coonce · Leave a Comment

Sorry, Chris Brown — the probation guys don’t hand out any shiny statuettes.
But a judge says that the R&B singer, who’s on probation for the felony assault of his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, has received an “extremely favorable” report, L.A. Now reports.
Brown, who according to the Associated Press talked and laughed with lawyer Mark Geragos during the brief hearing today, was sentenced in August to five years’ probation and 180 days community labor. He was also ordered to stay 100 yards away from Rihanna — unless they’re professionally obligated to attend the same entertainment event, in which case the distance drops. A lot.
Um, so, speaking of entertainment events, Rihanna was recently added to the list of performers at the American Music Awards, which will be held Sunday at the Nokia Theatre at LA Live …
At last year’s AMAs, you might remember, Brown was a big winner. (This year, Michael Jackson might take top honors — he has four nominations. Go figure.)
Rihanna, meanwhile, told a radio interviewer Thursday that she still likes Brown’s music. “When [his music] comes on on the radio, I don’t snub or turn it off; I listen,” she said.
Well isn’t that nice.
So the AMA red carpet might’ve gotten a little interesting this weekend — except that Brown, who played a show in L.A. last night, is heading back out on tour.
