Levi Johnston to pay $18,500 in Back Child Support

Levi Johnston was ordered to pay $18,500 in back child support and $1,688.42/month for his son, Tripp. Bristol Palin contended in court documents that Johnston only paid her $4,400 in 2009 while earning $105,000. She also made a statement claiming, “I have received limited and sporadic financial assistance from Levi.”

Levi, who recently posed semi-nude for Playgirl, was not in court when the the judge made the ruling.

Bristol Palin, daughter of VP contender Sarah Palin, will make her TV debut on the new hit show, “The Secret Life of an American Teenager.” Bristol will play friend to Amy, the 16 year old mother who juggles parenthood and high school at the same time.

Why debut on this show? Maybe because it mirrors Bristol’s life. Bristol, now 19, gave birth to a son (Tripp) in December, 2008. She also broke up with fiance and father, Levi Johnston.

Bristol now speaks out against teen sex and urges abstinence to avoid becoming a teenage mother like herself. Bristol is the abstinence ambassador for The Candie’s Foundation and comments, “Having a baby is a huge responsibility and I think that teenagers should just wait to have sex.”

Britstol Palin apparently thinks her baby daddy, Levi Johnston, is a big fat liar … and she’s subpoenaing CNN and Playgirl to prove it.

The lawyer for Sarah Palin’s kid is scoffing at legal docs filed by Levi’s lawyer — docs claiming Levi made but a pittance over the last few years and should not have to pay $1,688.42 a month in child support - which is what Bristol wants.

Levi says the best he’s done in the income department so far is last year — claiming he made approximately $101,000. Apparently Palin’s not buying it, because her lawyer issued subpoenas today to CNN, Playgirl, Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, Star Magazine, and National Enquirer, asking for hard figures on how much they paid Levi.

And there’s what Palin’s lawyer believes is a smoking gun. Levi claimed in legal docs that he made no more than $10,000 a year prior to 2009. But in the new docs, Palin’s lawyer attached Levi’s pay stub from 2008, showing he raked in $18,594.50 from one employer - a construction company in Alaska.

Bristol Palin sues Levi Johnson

Bristol Palin is suing her ex-boyfriend, Levi Johnson for owed back child support. The claim is that Levi owes owed $18,350, based on required payments of $1,750 a month since the December 2008.

Alaskain law requires child support of up to 20% of your income, up to $105k. According to Palin and her attorney, Johnson only paid $4,400 in the 13 months instead of the $22,750 he owed.

Bristol has provided nearly 100 percent of the care and custody for the parties’ child,” her lawyer, Thomas Van Flein, said in the complaint. “However, Bristol has received only limited and sporadic child support payments from Mr. Johnston.”

Bristol Palin Custody Case Will Be Open Court

The custody dispute between Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, over their 1-year-old son, Tripp, is playing out in court, and despite Bristol Palin’s efforts to keep the case confidential, a judge last week opened it to the public.

Palin filed a petition for full legal and physical custody Nov. 4. She argued that she and her family already provided almost all of the care and asserted that “Levi is not yet mature enough to take on significant parental responsibilities.”

But Johnston says he wants to share custody of his son and do what he can for Tripp, and Bristol Palin.

Johnston fought to allow the custody matter to unfold in public, saying in a sworn statement that doing so would help put everyone on their best behavior.
