Britney single debuts at No. 1

Oops, Britney Spears has done it again, with the U.S. pop singer cementing her comeback with a new single “3″ rocketing to No. 1 in its debut week.

Proving her popularity has not waned despite a personal and career meltdown in 2007 and 2008, “3″ entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at the top, making her the first artist with a debut No. 1 in more than three years, Billboard said on Wednesday.

The single, from her new album “The Singles Collection” due out on Nov. 10, is the first No. 1 debut since Taylor Hicks’ 2006 hit “Do I Make You Proud” and the first non-”American Idol” song to enter the chart at No. 1 in almost 11 years.

Britney Spears clarifies that she will be “Appearing” at the Teen Choice Awards, not “Performing”

A new message was posted on Britney Spears’ website today, to clarify the message posted earlier, that she will be attending the TCA, but not performing.

Spears is up for three awards this year and is also expected to receive the Ultimate Choice Award. She will be joining host/ nominees, The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, and the cast of the hit film “Twilight.”

Britney Spears is granted restraining order against Sam Lufti

Pop star Britney Spears can rest a little easier at night. Britney, as well as her sons, are protected by a restraining order issued for her ex Sam Lufti. The order, which is in effect until April 28, 2010, says that Lufti cannot go withing 100 yards of Britney’s home or workplace.

Congrats Brit! It’s just one more step to Britney getting her life back together.

Britney Spears settles ‘Dolls’ Cat fight

After the Pussycat Dolls got in a fight Friday night in Phoenix, Britney Spears decided to put the bickering to an end. “Remember, business comes first. … You can hate each other off-stage, but make it work on stage,” a very reliable Spears source quoted Britney as saying.

The tension with in the group is stemmed from jealousy. Lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, who has been wanting to go solo, is taking hits from the other girls who are unhappy about the fact that the recent singles have been released as “The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger”.

Do you think Nicole could make it on her own? Is she holding the other girls up?

During a performance, an aerialist accidently pulled out a portion of Britney’s weave! Being the true star that Britney Spears is, she didn’t let the incident effect her performance!

Rumors had recently been swirling that Britney was pregnant again, but nothing has been officially confirmed or denied!

Britney Spears ruled ‘unfit’ to testify

Unfortunately for Britney Spears, the judge presiding over her mission to get restraining orders against Sam Lufti, Adnan Ghalib, and Jon Eardley has decided that Spears is unfit to testify.

Temporary orders have been extended against the men until April 28, at which time the judge will hear arguments and make a final decision.

Why not grant her the restraining orders? It is probably safer for those guys to stay as far away from Britney as possible.

Miranda Tozier-Robbins Arrested For Stalking Britney Spears (Mug Shot Pictures)

Miranda Tozier-Robbins, a wannabe singer who had auditioned for the fifth season of American Idol previously, was arrested this morning after she was found to be trespassing on Britney Spears’ property.

Seriously, so people still stalk Britney Spears?

She used to be off the chart famous and have hundreds of paparazzi and hangers on huddled around her at every turn. Now, she is still newsworthy, but stalker-worthy? Not so much.

In either case TMZ reports that Miranda was actually wearing camouflage and looking in Britney’s widows when security asked her to leave.
 

The whole thing went down around 10:50 this morning when private security noticed 26-year-old Miranda Tozier-Robbins acting suspicious outside of the home. According to the incident report, security asked her to leave, but the woman “balked at their requests” and had to be physically escorted off the property.

Sheriffs arrived shortly after and took her to a local station where she was booked on charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $5,000, but she was released on a citation to appear in court on June 16.
