Britney Spears takes the stage in Las Vegas.

Singer Britney Spears took the stage for a mini concert in Las Vegas on Friday night. Spears and her dancers performed three songs from ‘Femme Fatale’ for an MTV special. The show will be on Tuesday. This was Spears first performance since the ‘Circus’ tour in 2009.

According to sources, the set lasted around 45 minutes. The 29 year old singer wore form fitting black leather and the crowd seemed to love it. Pauly D was the DJ and kept the crowd of around a thousand on their feet during Spears’ breaks for costume changes.

What was supposed to be a surprise performance, was leaked out on Friday and Spears took to Twitter and confirmed her upcoming performance. She tweeted, “Looks like my little secret isn’t a secret anymore…Who’s coming to watch me take the stage? You’re all invited. Be there or be square b–ch!”

The performance ended with fireworks for the Vegas crowd. Her father looked on accompanied by sister Jamie Spears and her boyfriend Jason Trawick, from the VIP area.

Britey Spears’ ‘big comeback’.

Singer Britney Spears is scheduled to hit the stage for her “big comeback” beginning in Las Vegas on Friday. According to sources, Spears will perform a free MTV special at Palms Casino Resort. This will be her first performance of songs ‘Femme Fatale’, her seventh album which is scheduled to go out on shelves on March 29.

“MTV is planning this as part of her big comeback, and they will be shooting her behind the scenes and airing a special before the end of April,” a source said.

Any fan interested in attending this event can register at Onset Productions for tickets.

Spears won’t be the only star at the event. Pauly D of ‘Jersey Shore’ fame will DJ the event — no doubt part of his new contract with the hotel. After her Vegas performance, Spears will head to San Francisco on March 27 to film a special concert that will air on ‘Good Morning America’ on March 29.

The country band, The Bellamy Brothers, claim that Britney Spears’ new song Hold It Against Me rips off their song entitled If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me.

The Bellamy Brothers, a famous country duo from the 70’s and 80’s are upset with Britney Spears over her new single “Hold it Against Me”. The brothers say Spears ripped off the lyrics to their song “If I Said You Have a Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me”. The Bellamy Brothers released a novelty single in 1979 titled “If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me.” Spears’ single is built around the chorus “If I said I wanted your body now/would you hold it against me?”

“That little song went #1 and has since become one of the defining songs of our career,” said David Bellamy. The duo claims that there are many similiarities with the two songs.

Not that Spears’ fans care. Spears’ song has quickly become the most downloaded single. No word yet on whether or not the Bellamy Brothers will file charges.
