Christina Aguilera signs on for season two of ‘The Voice’.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Christina Aguilera has signed on for a second season of NBC’s ‘The Voice’. Though her protégé was not the winner of season one of the show, she is ready to win season two.

“If they’ll have me, I’d be delighted to be back,” Aguilera told sources.

Aguilara makes $225,000 per episode, which is reportedly $150,000 more than the other judges make.
According to host, Carson Daly, “This show is bigger than any of its coaches or the host. This show will live on in perpetuity with many a star in those chairs.”

Friends beg Christina Aguilera to go to rehab.

Singer Christina Aguilera’s friends are begging her to go to rehab following her arrest for public intoxication. According to sources, Aguilera’s friends have been worried about her for months and all began with the split last fall from husband Jordan Bratman and her new relationship with boyfriend Matt Rutler.

“Maybe when she was married she was able to keep it under wraps, but it’s out in the open now,” a source said.

Bratman was reportedly aware of Aguilera’s alcohol problems when they went to court to settle custody of son Max. The duo finally settled for joint custody.

Aguilera was arrested in the early hours of March 1 in West Hollywood when Rutler was pulled over for suspicion of DUI.

“We have no desire to prosecute, none whatsoever,” Steve Whitmore (LA Sheriff’s Office spokesman) said about Aguilera’s arrest. “It just for a public safety issue … When she was able to navigate and to think on her own and make her own way, she was released.”

Christina Aguilera to sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl.

Five time Grammy award winner, Christina Aguilera will be performing the national anthem at the Super Bowl on February 6th at Cowboys Stadium. There will be more than 153 million people tuning in for the big event.

Aguilera did the halftime show in 2000 for Super Bowl XXXIV in Atlanta. However, Aguilera says this one in Texas will be different. She will join the Black Eyed Peas at the Super Bowl (they’re performing the halftime show).

“I have been performing the Anthem since I was 7 years old, and I must say the Super Bowl is a dream come true,” she said, via a press release today. “I am really excited to be part of such an iconic event.”

Christina Aguilera is steaming over the risque pictures of her…….in some compromising positions…..that are circulating the web. Aguilera’s rep announced, “The photos of Christina Aguilera being leaked to the press were illegally obtained by a hacker who tapped into Christina’s personal stylist’s account. She went on to say, “The photos were taken in the privacy of Ms. Aguilera’s home and were used only in a personal exchange between the star and her stylist….We are attempting to determine the identity of the hackers and will pursue them aggressively,”

Christina Aguilera and Matthew D. Rutler were spotted together on several occasions and rumors are flying that their “friendship” may be turning into something romantic. Reports are saying that the two were recently out on a double date with Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. Rutler is a movie set assistant who worked on movie, “Burlesque,” which debuts Ms. Aguilera. He’s also the guitarist for the Nate Mott Band.

So on the heels of the the Arquette-Cox breakup, another Hollywood couple announce their split. Christina Aguilera and husband, Jordan Bratman announced that they have split. Aguilera said in a statement, “Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever.” The two met in 2002 and married in 2005. They had their son, Max, in January 2008. It is rumored that the two have actually been separated for a few months.

Christina Aguilera Postpones US Tour - Claims No Time for Rehersal

Christina Aguilera cancelled her North American tour due to other obligations that leave her with no time to rehearse for the tour. Her spokesperson made the following statement: “Christina Aguilera’s summer tour has been moved to 2011 due to prior commitments that the singer had made to her film, Burlesque, and to the promotion of her new album, Bionic…. The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour date this wasn’t possible.” The tour was supposed to start in July, refunds are being issued.

Paula Abdul to Appear on Idol Season Finale

Paula Abdul will appear in the season finale of American Idol for a special farewell to Simon Cowell, who is leaving the show as well. Also appearing in the finale is Christina Aguilera but the rest of the special appearances are being kept secret. It is expected to be quite a farewell event for Cowell….oh, and the season 9 American Idol will be announced.
