‘X Factor’ news.
Sources say that Cheryl Cole has not only been ousted as a judge from the American version of ‘X Factor’, but has also lost her job on the British version as well.
Cole reportedly as refused to take any calls or have meetings with the producers of the show. “Cheryl will not be returning to the British ‘X Factor,’” a source said. “She hasn’t returned phone calls. And you can’t exactly negotiate with someone who won’t even speak to you.”
Kelly Rowland from the former band, Destiny’s Child, has been named the replacement for Cole on the British version of the show as well as Tulisa Contostavlos, the hip hop singer from N-Dubz.
Just last week Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls will no longer co-host the show, instead taking Cole’s spot on the judges panel of the U.S. version of ‘X Factor’.
Sources say Cole had gained some weight after battling malaria last year and was asked to lose “as much as two stones” (or 28 pounds) before appearing in front of American audiences. There had been rumors that she was told to get rid of boyfriend, Derek Hough of ‘Dancing With the Stars’, to improve her image.

“The show has a very odd relationship with Playboy,” a ‘DWTS’ insider said. “It’s not something they like to admit or comment on, but sexy girls have long provided the show with a huge male demographic, helping to make it one of the most watched shows on TV.”
There have been no comments made about the rumors by ABC, ‘DWTS’ or by Smirnoff. When she was asked about it backstage on Monday she said, “I don’t think it’s fair to this experience to talk about it. I’m enjoying it way too much to take attention away [from it].”

Inaba’s boyfriend of two years, Jesse Sloan, showed up with a 2.5 carat diamond ring and popped the question while on the air.

Singer Chris Brown performed in the ballroom of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ last night. To the viewers, the performance went off without a hitch. There was none of the booing that was feared by ‘DWTS’. However, backstage things were less than perfect.
A ‘DWTS’ insider said, “No one wanted anything to do with him. Most of the cast think it’s disgraceful that ABC invited him on in the first place, but after he smashed a window backstage at ‘Good Morning America,’ almost everyone participating in the competition thought he should have been canceled.”
Even the host of the show, Tom Bergeron, who is really friendly, told Ryan Seacrest, “I did say to the producers that it might be to their advantage to not have me interview him, because my natural tendency would be to say something”. Bergeron was afraid if he had to do an interview with the singer, there would certainly be trouble.
According to sources, Kirstie Alley “wanted to spend as little time as possible around him. It was hard enough for her to be in the same building as him.”
“As a victim of domestic violence, I don’t agree with him coming on the show, but it’s out of my control”, professional Cheryl Burke said.
Wendy Williams has made no secret of her dislike for Brown ever since he attacked Rihanna in 2009. Williams went on her talk show after the ‘Good Morning America’ blowup by Brown and said she was “disgusted with this little boy”.
According to an insider, the cast is usually excited to meet the big stars that make appearances on ‘DWTS’, but “with Chris, no one wanted to be around when he rehearsed.”

“It’s a family friendly show that wants to keep its tone upbeat and happy,” a show said. “The last thing they want to happen is for Chris to not get a very warm welcome and ruin the whole atmosphere for the entire evening.”
“I did say to the producers that it might be to their advantage to not have me interview him, because my natural tendency would be to say something,” show host Tom Bergeron told Ryan Seacrest. According to sources, there will not be an interview, only a performance.
“We are prepared to cut right to commercial after Chris performs,” an insider told sources. “If anyone boos you wont get to hear it on TV. The only thing that we are worried about is if the audience doesn’t react well before the performance. The sound guy will do his best to pump up the music and drown out the sound from the crowd.”
