He suffered a serious subarachnoid hemorrhage with complications, he won “Celebrity Apprentice,” was rumored to have had an affair with Miley Cyrus’ mom - which he denies. He has decided to end the year on a high note by asking his longtime girlfriend, Kristi Gibson, to marry him. He told People.com, “They swore I was the guy who would never…He then added “And it feels awesome.”

Kate Middleton Meets Entire Royal Family

Kate Middleton attended a pre-Christmas lunch with Queen Elizabeth. The newly engaged Middleton enjoyed an afternoon mingling with all of the Queen’s children as well as most of her grandchildren. This marks the first time she has had a lunch with the entire family at the palace. Royals author, Judy Wade told PEOPLE, “It’s a momentous day for her. She must have met more than 40 members of the royal family and that must have been an ordeal for her to meet so many family members.”

Kelsey Grammer Engaged but Not Yet Divorced….

Kelsey Grammer confirmed that he is in fact engaged to soon-to-be wife number 4, Kayte Walsh. There is just one sticky issue…He is not yet divorced from current wife (and mother of his two children), Camille Donatacci. Grammer, 55, confirmed via his rep that the ring on 29 year old flight attendant Walsh’s finger is in fact an engagement ring.

Jessica Simpson Set to Re-Marry?

Just a few short days after Jessica Simpsons ex - Nick Lachey announced his engagement to Vanessa Minnillo, do we hear that Jessica is also engaged! The 30 year old singer and actress is reported to be engaged to boyfriend of 6 months, Eric Johnson. A publicist for the couple told People magazine, “Yes, we are excited to confirm that they are engaged!”

Karina Smirnoff’s $95,000 Engagement Ring

DWTS’s, Karina Smirnoff, recently got engaged to baseball player, Brad Penny, and finally debuted her ring. According to jewelry expert Michael O’Connor, the ring is a 4.5 carat princess cut, center stone diamond set on a platinum band that includes smaller channel-set princess cut diamonds. Estimated price of $95,000! Smirnoff said of her fiance, “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and Brad is the sole reason for that.” The ring may have something to do with that….

LeAnne Rimes Denies Engagement

LeAnne Rimes took to her Twitter account to deny rumors that her and boyfriend, Eddie Cibrian, are engaged. She wrote, “I’ve about had it. Even though this is positive ‘news’ it’s not true.” Rimes blased E! News for reporting the rumors and then went on to say, “Eddie and I are beyond happy and in love and look forward to one day sharing such private news with you all and hopefully will be able to enjoy it privately and share it with our family and friend’s before the world knows (contrary to reports on our intentions).” She then joked: “I’M PREGNANT TOO!!!”

Crystal Bowersox just announced her engagement to musician Brian Walker. This comes mere months after the split from longtime boyfriend Tony Kushian. She said of Kushain, “He’s a small-town guy and that’s fine. I’m a small-town girl, but I want this. I want this more than anything — this career, this lifestyle. I didn’t think he was up for it. He didn’t think he was up for it.” I assume Walker is up for it….

Zoe Saldana Is Engaged to Longtime Boyfriend

“Avatar” star, Zoe Saldana is off the market. Her rep confirmed to US Weekly that she and her boyfriend of 10 years, Keith Britton, have in fact become engaged. Saldana told Glamour, “We travel a lot, which keeps things alive. We’re very private. It’s worked for 10 years — long enough to go to hell and back.”

Kelly Pickler Gets Engaged

Kelly Pickler confirmed that she and boyfriend (and songwriter), Kyle Jacobs, are engaged. She said Jacobs popped the question in Florida on June 15th, which is also her late grandmother’s birthday. She told People, “It turned out to be the most amazing day of my life. My whole world changed. We both feel like we got my grandmother’s blessing.” She also tweeted, “Yes, it’s true. Can’t wait to say ‘I DO!’”

After three years of dating, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are taking the next step in their relationship. Bloom, who is 33 and Kerr, 27, announced today that they are engaged - finally confirming all the rumors that have surrounded them for some time now. Kerr’s rep told People that, “The entire Kerr family is thrilled with the news….It is a very exciting time for both of them.”
