Prince William Announces Engagement to Kate Middleton

Prince William announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend, Kate Middleton. The actual proposal happened while the pair were on vacation in Kenya a few weeks ago. The engagement ring is an oval sapphire which is surrounded by smaller diamonds. More noteably, it belonged to Princess Diana. Prince William said of his choice, “It was my way of keeping her close to it all.” The wedding date has not been released but is being planned for either the spring or summer of 2011.

The symbolism awakened a faint flutter of hope: The era of Diana has returned.

Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood recently called off their engagement. The 41 year old singer and 22 year old “True Blood” actress have had a torrid love affair. They first started dating in 2006, broke up 2 years later, had a quick reconciliation and then split again. They then decided that that getting engaged would be a good idea. Ali Fedatowski and Roberto Martinez Open Up About Their Engagement

Ali and Roberto have been engaged for 3 months but are now able to talk about their relationship. Ali is very happy with her $50,000 Neil Lane engagement ring, telling Entertainment Tonight, “It is so me: classy, simple. I can dress it up, but I can wear it with my sneakers and jeans.” She and Roberto confirmed they have found a place in San Diego and Roberto has already moved in from his hometown of Charleston, SC and is anxiously waiting for Ali’s arrival. He says, “I wake up every morning and I see her clothes, and I am, ‘Oh.’ I am excited to get her down there.” Both said they are agreeable to a televised marriage ceremony, Fedatowski explains, “My very first reaction to that and I think his, too, was we want that to be private. But then we thought, ‘We could have this moment on TV and ABC will take care of it.” She went on to say, “We will save $50,000 by doing that. We could invest that in our kids and our home where that money will really make a difference in our lives.’ Why not?’”

Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston shocked us all when they announced - only 2 short weeks ago - that they were engaged for a second time. The first time was when Bristol became pregnant with Levi’s son. However, they called it off and then began attacking each other in public, causing quite a bit of drama for mama Palin during the 2008 election season. So, what caused this most recent break up? Bristol told People magazine, “The final straw was him flying to Hollywood for what he told me was to see some hunting show but come to find out it was that music video mocking my family,” Bristol said. “He’s just obsessed with the limelight and I got played.” Let’s see if they go for lucky number 3.

Kim Kardashian: There’s no engagement bet!

Kim Kardashian is slamming reports from the New York Post and other outlets reported that she made a marital bet with her longtime boyfriend Reggie Bush. The paper said that Kardashian, 29, recently said in a radio interview that she and Bush, 24, made a deal: if Bush’s New Orleans Saints win the Super Bowl, he’ll ask her to marry him.

“This is not true,” Kardashian said on her blog.
