Film veteran, Jean-Claude Van Damme, suffered an apparent mild heart attack while shooting his latest film, Weapon…..and only one day after his 50th birthday. The actor was taken to a hospital in New Orleans and then headed to Belguim to fully recover. He is reportedly doing fine.

Kanye West’s Film, “Runaway” To Air on MTV and BET

Kanye West’s debut film, “Runaway,” will premiere on MTV and BET on October 23rd. The film is 40 minutes long and has been termed as “ambitious” and “great looking” by those who have viewed the film. Following the premiere, West will do a Q&A session from MTV’s Times Square location. Here is what Kanye said about the concept of the film, “It’s the story of a phoenix fallen to Earth, and I make her my girlfriend, and people discriminate against her and eventually she has to burn herself alive and go back to her world,” he told New York magazine. “I’ve been feeling the idea of the phoenix. It’s been in my heart for a while. It’s maybe parallel to my career. I threw a Molotov cocktail on my career last year, in a way, and I had to come back as a better person.”

Star Wars Film To be converted Into 3D

The entire Star Wars film saga is going to be converted into 3D, according to director George Lucas. The Star Wars website announced, “The cutting edge conversion will take that immersion to the next thrilling level.” So, when can you expect them in the theaters? Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace is expected out in 2012, with the other films to follow.

Anna Paquin To Make Cameo Appearance in Sream 4 - Why?

So, they haven’t had enough humiliation - Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Courtney Cox will reprise their roles in the next Scream movie. Also making cameo appearances are True Blood star, Anna Paquin, and Kristen Bell. The film is slated to be released in April, 2011.

Casey Afflect Being Sued for Sexual Harassment

Amanda White, one of the producers of Casey Afflecks film, “I’m Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix,” has filed a sexual harassment suit against him. In her suit, she alleges, the following:

“On one occasion, Affleck instructed a crew member to take off his pants in order to show (White) his penis, even after (White) objected.”

“Affleck repeatedly referred to women as ‘cows’; he discussed his sexual exploits and those of other celebrities that he allegedly witnessed; and asked (White), after learning her age, ‘Isn’t it about time you get pregnant?”‘

The complaint also states that White was not allowed in her bedroom during shooting in Costa Rica because “Affleck and Phoenix locked themselves in her bedroom with two women.”

“Affleck also attempted to manipulate (White) into staying in a hotel room with him, and when she resisted, he grabbed her in a hostile manner in an effort to intimidate her into complying.”

There has been no comment from Affleck or his reps.

Sylvester Stallone To Retire?

Sylvester Stallone, 63, announced that his current film, “The Expendables,” will possibly be the last one he acts in. He said: “I’m on borrowed time. At this age I hear the ticking clock and it’s as loud as the gong on Big Ben.” However, he desires to remain in the film industry, but now it will be behind the camera. He told folks at the LA film Festival, “The ultimate ambition is to follow in Clint Eastwood’s footsteps and move on to directing films without me having to be in them.

Angelina Jolie’s Next Role Will Be as Cleopatra

Angelina Jolie has reportedly agreed to play the role of Cleopatra. The film will apparently be based on Stacy Schiff’s newly released book, “Cleopatra: A Life.” Scott Rudin, the films producer, said that the role is, “being developed for and with Jolie.”
