Jon & Kate minus $200k

The odds that Jon Gosselin soon could slip into obscurity are increasing, and not just because there’s an end in sight for “Jon & Kate Plus Eight.”

The reality-show dad reportedly has approached awards shows with requests to appear as a presenter, and has been turned down by at least two productions, according to producers.

And while Gosselin was asking for appearance fees in the $30,000 range as recently as September, he’s now offering to present for free, asking only to have travel and accommodations covered.

“There was absolutely no interest in having him be a part of our show, no matter how much it was not going to cost us,” said one producer. “He thinks he can attach himself to any project that has cameras. I guess he doesn’t realize that the world is not his personal reality show.”

Flight attendant sues Oprah Winfrey

October 13, 2009 by m.coonce · Leave a Comment

A former flight attendant on Oprah Winfrey’s private jet is suing the talk-show host, claiming she was fired after being wrongfully accused of having sex with the jet’s chief pilot in June. In a defamation lawsuit recently filed in Chicago federal court, Corrine Gehrls, 39, claims she was fired after two other flight attendants — Myron Gooch and Kirby Bumpus — accused her of having sex with pilot Terry Pansing. The accusations were considered serious because the alleged sex allegedly occurred while the alleged plane was in flight, and we’re pretty sure the FAA is totally not cool with flight attendants and pilots having sex while they should be doing things like serving Oprah fresh cups of green tea and keeping the plane from crash-landing on a crowded freeway.

Gehrls claims in the suit she and Pansing were fired after the allegations were made, despite the fact that the they both took, and passed, polygraph tests. She is seeking $75,000 from Winfrey, Gooch, Bumpus (who is the daughter of Winfrey pal Gayle King) and Winfrey’s company, Harpo Productions. Harpo Productions says Hehrls’ claims are false and the lawsuit is without merit.
