Rapper Ja Rule pleaded guilty to a weapons charge and was sentenced to two years in prison. This came 3 years after his 2007 arrest where he was found to have a loaded semiautomatic handgum .

Just coming off a her guilty plea for cocaine possession, Paris was detained at a Japanese airport by immigration. Hilton’s reps told TMZ, “Paris Hilton was delayed by immigration authorities at a Japanese airport this evening after arriving for business obligations planned many months earlier. Paris was contractually bound to her business trip and didn’t want to let down her brands and many Asian fans.” She has not been arrested but is being detained and currently staying at the airport hotel.
Lil Wayne to Enter Plea Deal on Drug and Weapons Charges

Lil Wayne, entered a plea of guilty to one count of possession of a dangerous drug in an effort to avoid jail time. The 27 year old grammy winning rapper is scheduled to be sentenced on June 30th and could receive 36 months of probation. This latest legal entanglement stemmed from a January 2008 incident where his tour bus was stopped at a US border patrol checkpoint in AZ, where authorities say they found cocaine, ecstasy and a handgun on the bus. He is currently serving an 8-month jail sentence after pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon from another incident.
Cameron Douglas Pleads GUILTY

The son of Oscar-winning actor Michael Douglas admitted in a New York court to possessing heroin and dealing large amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine.
Cameron Douglas, 31, was arrested last July at a hotel in Manhattan. If convicted he faces a minimum 10-year prison sentence.
When asked by US District Judge Ronald Ellis if he knew what he was doing was wrong, he said: “Yes, your honour,”
Prosecutors said he has signed a plea agreement, but gave no further details.
In addition to conspiracy to distribute drugs, Douglas pleaded guilty to heroin possession.
The charge stems from allegations that his girlfriend tried to smuggle him the drug in an electric toothbrush while he was under house arrest.
Cameron Douglas appeared with his father and grandfather, actor Kirk Douglas, in the film It Runs in the Family in 2003, a comedy focusing on three generations of a dysfunctional family.

The Colorado couple, Richard and Mayumi Heene, accused of pulling a hoax by reporting their son was aboard a runaway balloon is avoiding more spectacle and a trial by entering guilty pleas. (Nov. 13)
They say the only reason they did it was so the wife wouldn’t be deported to Japan.

The parents of a 6-year-old son Coloradan who became known as “balloon boy” will plead guilty at a court hearing on Friday, their lawyer said in a statement on Thursday.
Mayumi Heene will plead guilty to false reporting to authorities, a class 3 misdemeanor, with a stipulated sentence of probation, according to a statement from Killmer, Lane and Newman, attorneys of law.
Richard Heene will plead guilty to attempting to influence a public servant, a class 4 felony. The prosecutor has stipulated to a sentence of probation, the office said in a statement.
The most serious of the charges recommended by Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden would have carried a maximum sentence of six years in prison.

Lindsay Lohan has another date with a judge. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel has ordered the “Mean Girls” star to appear in a Beverly Hills courtroom today. The 23-year-old actress was placed on three years of probation in 2007 after she pleaded guilty to two counts of being under the influence of cocaine, and no contest to two counts of drunken driving and one count of reckless driving. She spent 84 minutes in jail. It is unclear why Lohan has been ordered to appear.
Court reveals Filmmaker Polanski settlement

Roman Polanski agreed to pay his victim of sexual assault $500,000, 15 years after he fled the US, according to court documents released to the media.
According to the reports, Polanski has never paid the settlement since he fled. The total now comes out to $604,416.22, including interest.
Politicians and Hollywood Heavyweights have been chiming in on the decision to extradite Polanski back to the US, with most of them agreeing that it should happen. After all, he did plead guilty to sleeping with a 13-year old girl before his departure.
