‘Jackass’ star gets in trouble in Canada.

“Jackass” star Steve-O was stopped by customs at Calgary International Airport on Sunday and arrested for assault with a weapon. Reportedly, the star has had an outstanding warrant from 2003 alleging that Stephen Gilchrist Glover attacked an unidentified person with an unknown object.

According to sources, Steve-O appeared before the just and was released on $10,000 Canadian bail in cash.

Steve-O is no stranger to trouble. He was arrested for assault and obscenity on July 31, 2002 in Louisiana; jailed in Sweden on May 22, 2003 for commenting about smuggling drugs; and July 19, 2003, he was charged with disorderly conduct in Pennsylvania during Lollappalooza.

Sources say he has straightened up quite a bit. In 2009, he appeared on ‘Dancing with the Stars’, in 2011 he will do a nine month comedy tour and will appear in “Jackass 3.5″ to be released in April.

Officially, rapper Kanye West is not a “jackass” — at least not as far as the White House is concerned.

President Barack Obama apparently was speaking off the record Monday when he used that term to characterize the performer’s stunning interruption of Taylor Swift during Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards. While Swift was accepting the award for best female video, West rushed the stage, grabbed the mic and proclaimed that Beyonce had made the best video of all time.

ABC News’ Terry Moran tweeted the president’s off-the-cuff comment about West to his 1 million-plus followers on Twitter.
