Jennifer Love Hewitt eyeing a role on ‘Law & Order: SVU’

Reportedly, Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni are hoping to cut back on their hours on ‘Law & Order: SVU’. Sources say that Jennifer Love Hewitt is eyeing the role.

Word is that Hewitt would step in as the new partner, Elliot Stabler (Meloni), after Det. Olivia Benson (Hartigay) is promoted in the precinct to a supervisor position.

Hargitay signed on to return for the 13th season of the show, but working fewer hours. Meloni has yet to sign on for the season, and is asking for a raise.

Reportedly, Hewitt, 32, has not signed the deal yet. She appeared on the series and played woman woman who was stalked and raped by a man for 15 years.

Hargitay, 47, won the Emmy in 2006 for her role in ‘Law & Order: SVU’.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is single again.

Sources say Jennifer Love Hewitt and her boyfriend, Alex Beh have split after one year. Hewitt’s rep said, “they haven’t been dating for a little while.” A friend of Hewitt’s told sources that she is “doing well” since the split.

Hewitt and Beh begin dating last July after her breakup with comedian Jaime Kennedy.
In January, Hewitt told sources that things were going well. At the time she said, “: “He buys me flowers every day. Ever since we met. Every single day — I’m serious! He’ll either give me a bouquet, or handpick one. So sweet!”

In the past, the ‘Ghost Whisperer’ actress has dated other Hollywood men such as John Mayer, John Asher and Carson Daly.
