Kate Hudson celebrated the upcoming birth of her baby with an intimate baby shower on Sunday in Malibu.
There were reportedly 80 guests invited at a private home, including Courtney Cox and Jessica Capshaw and the actress’ stylist Rachel Zoe. A guest of the shower said Hudson did not know the gender of the baby so she was given “gender neutral baby items.”
The guest went on to say, “[Kate] looked amazing and kept giggling while mingling with friends, nibbling on food and playing games. She seemed to have the best time.”
The baby will be Hudson’s second. She has a son, Ryder, 7, with her ex-husband Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes.
Hudson and Matt Bellamy, father of her baby, became engaged in April.

During an interview with Matt Lauer on Wednesday, he pointed out the rock on her finger and Hudson laughed and said she was engaged rocker Matt Bellamy of the band Muse.
“It just happened a week ago, I’m so glad you noticed,” she said. “I haven’t really announced it and I felt like the announcing thing feels so silly, and I was just waiting for someone to notice.”
“He’s a beautiful man, and I’m excited,” she continued. No wedding date has been set and Hudson kept quiet on the proposal details, adding only that is was “very sweet, very romantic.”
The couple will have their first child together this summer. Hudson has a son Ryder, 7, with ex-husband rocker Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes.

It has been rumored that Kate Hudson and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy are now engaged. This news is on the heels of Hudson’s pregnancy [14 weeks]. It is believed that Hudson and Bellamy had a secret engagement party at a London hoten on January 24.
Hudson’s mother, actress Goldie Hawn, was reportedly in attendance. Hawn recently told sources that she is excited about Hudson’s news of being pregnant saying, “we’re just all very happy … happy for them both.” Bellamy reportedly met Hudson’s parents, Goldie Hawn and her partner, actor Kurt Russell over Christmas.
Sources say, “it was an intimate party. They kept their engagement secret as they wanted to celebrate with their nearest and dearest before it became public knowledge.”
The couple has been dating for 9 months. Bellamy reportedly has said that his band Muse was all planning to make London their permanant homes saying, “it’ll be the first time we’re all going to be in the same place since we were much younger… maybe in summer we’ll start getting into rehearsing and writing.”

Kate will be the global brand ambassador for the Almay brand. Seriously? What the fuck is a global brand ambassador? Do they do anything other than wear makeup, make boat loads of money and spend outrageous amounts of cash flying all over the world just to get photographed wearing said makeup? Seriously, this is the stupidest thing I have heard of!
