June 27, 2011 by David · Leave a Comment

1-800-LAW-FIRM, a Southfield, Michigan based law firm, has filed a suit against Lady Gaga for pocketing some of the proceeds gathered from people who bought ‘We Pray For Japan’ wristbands. The proceeds were supposed to go to benefit the relief of Japan’s March earthquake.

An attorney at the firm told sources, “I’m suing Lady Gaga simply to hold her accountable for giving the money that she was raising for charity to the cause that she was trying to raise it for.”

Gaga sold the bracelets for $5.00. The firm says they have “uncovered evidence” that not all of the proceeds went where they were supposed to go and that Gaga’s initial claims regarding the relief of bracelets were “false”. The lawyers are urging anyone who purchased one or more bracelets to join in the lawsuit.

Lady Gaga is Elton John’s baby’s godmother.

During his appearance on ‘Saturday Night Live’ last weekend, singer Elton John let it slip, then confirmed, that singer Lady Gaga is his son’s godmother. John and his partner, David Furnish, adopted a son, Zachary, who was born last Christmas.

During ‘SNL’ John joked saying he still hasn’t “lost the baby weight”. He also said, “For those of you concerned that we are unusual parents, don’t worry. It’s not like we are the only two people involved in the child’s life. His godmother is Lady Gaga. That is true. It’s not a joke. Lady Gaga is his actual godmother, which is ironic, because I’ve always said that Mars ain’t the kind of place to raise your kids. And Gaga loves Mars. She says Mars has good schools and great discos.”

John was quiet about who Zachary’s godmother was, but Furnish never denied it. Earlier this year Furnish told sources,. “She’s all about inclusiveness and tolerance,” he said. “She believes that you can be whoever you want to be and that we don’t have to live in a world of conformity and that we can all [benefit] from individuality. That’s the best message in the world. The freedom to be who you are, do what you want and love who you want to love.”

Gaga also denied being the baby’s godmother in a radio interview saying, “I don’t really want to reveal anything. They’re going to make many lovely announcements about their beautiful son Zachary. I’m too much of a lady to talk about that on the air.”

Lady Gaga threatens to sue ice cream parlor over use of her name.

The Icecreamists, an ice cream parlor in London, is finding themselves in hot water. This is not your everyday ice cream shop, they use human breast milk to make their products. The Icecreamists have gained publicity since they started selling ‘Baby Gaga’ about two weeks ago. Lady Gaga is not happy with the fact that they are using part of her name and is considering suing the company.

Gaga’s attorneys sent a legal letter asking them to stop using the name ‘Gaga’ and called their concoction “deliberatley provocative and, to many peope, nausea-inducing.”

Gaga’s attorneys say Icecreamists owner Matt O’Connor is promoting ice cream by using her name and stated, “The references you are making to Lady Gaga are thus clearly deliberate and intended to take advantage of her reputation and good will. Associating the Lady Gaga mark with a food product which may be unsafe for human consumption (owing to the risk of it carrying such viruses as hepatitis) is also highly detrimental.”

There is some concern that this may increase the spread of the hepatitis virus. Inspectors from Westminster Council’s food wanted to be sure that the ice cream met the country’s health standards, so they confiscated some of the ice cream to check it out. The first volunteer to donate milk checked out and was a registered blood donor and examined at a clinic before she made the donation. By the way, Victoria Hiley’s 30 oz of breast milk will make approximately 50 servings of Baby Gag.

During an interview, O’Connor said that the Gaga threats were unfair. “We think this is very unnecessary, the whole thing will be over by next week, but we are prepared to fight this in court,” he said. “This is a David versus Goliath battle. I’m convinced we will eventually win. The world’s biggest superstar has taken umbrage with the world’s smallest ice cream parlor. For Lady Gaga to accuse us of stealing her image is laughable when you consider how much she has borrowed from popular culture to create her look and music. She also seems to have forgotten that since the dawn of time the word gaga has been one of the first discernible phrases to come from a baby’s mouth. This is why we chose the name.”

O’Connor added, “As for her assertion that our product is distasteful, perhaps she should reflect on her blood-spurting performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, or the fact she wears clothes fabricated from the flesh of dead animals. We have applied to register the trademark Baby Gaga and are confident we’ll secure this.”

This specialty ice cream sells for $23 per serving and there have been around 15 women that have volunteered to donate their milk to the parlor.

Well folks, it was inevitable. What singer, actor, celeb, etc does not go on to “create” and sell a perfume? Lady Gaga is joining the group and creating her “own” perfume. What I mean is that someone will throw some scents together and slap a label on there with her name on it and rake in the money. The first (of many I bet) will hit shelves Spring, 2012.
