Lady Gaga Being Sued by Ex-Lover

March 19, 2010 by David · Leave a Comment

Lady Gaga, AKA Stefani Germanotta, is being sued for $30.5 million dollars by ex lover and producer/songwriter, Rob Fusari. In court papers, Fusari alleges that he has not received his share of royalties or merchandise revenue from Gaga’s explosive career.

Fusari, who is credited for the smash hit, Bootylicious, said he launched Gaga’s career. He claims he reshaped her entire image which ultimately turned her into Lady Gaga and alleges he secured her record deal with Interscope Records, which released album, The Fame in 2008. The album has sold more than 3 million copies in the US alone.

Fusari claims that when their romantic relationship crumbled, so did their business relationship. He is claiming he has been refused his 20% share of song royalties, 15% of merchandising revenue and other outstanding monies. He confirms receiving approximately $611,000 but claims that is a fractuion of what he is owed.

Lady Gaga has yet to respond.

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning are Big Fans of Lady Gaga

March 17, 2010 by David · Leave a Comment

In an interview with MTV, Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning call themselves fans of Lady Gaga. Stewart called her hot and went on to say, “She’s got a look.” Fanning added, “I am a fan of Lady Gaga because I think she’s a really good singer and a really great entertainer and when you watch her perform, you know it’s going to be a show. I think that’s really cool.”

The two just finished the film, “The Runaways’, where Stewart played 70’s rock idol, Joan Jett and fanning played Cherie Currie. When asked by MTV if playing those roles gave them courage to get up and sing karaoke, both quickly said nay. Stewart said, “I would never karaoke either — “Every time I’ve even tried to do that, I’ve regretted it two lines in, and I end up talking [the lyrics]. It’s making me embarrassed talking about it.”

Fans of Lady Gaga were sufficiently baffled by the lyrics to her song “Bad Romance”; now they’re trying to understand how she was able to make a Friday appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” while canceling or postponing several concert dates.

On Thursday evening Lady Gaga canceled a show she was to perform at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., writing on her Twitter account that she “was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing” before the show and that she was later given a diagnosis of exhaustion and dehydration by paramedics.

On Friday she taped an appearance on Ms. Winfrey’s show, where she discussed her upbringing, her personal life and her fans (and told the host, “There’s Gandhi, and there’s Oprah”) and also performed her song “Monster.” But that was the only performance that Lady Gaga would give for the weekend.
