Tim Gunn collaborated with the Trevor Project, an organization focused on suicide prevention among gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth, by creating a video where he admits to a past suicide attempt. Gunn said in the video, “As a 17-year-old youth who was in quite a bit of despair, I attempted to kill myself and I’m very happy today that that attempt was unsuccessful but at the time it’s all that I could contemplate.” Gunn goes on to say, “I woke up the morning after taking over a hundred pills and I was in a whole other level of despair. I thought, ‘I shouldn’t be here. This isn’t what was meant to be.’ I frankly just wanted to start life all over again.”

Adam Lambert to visit ‘The View’

After taking heat from Adam Lambert’s fans and gay advocates for a week, ABC on Friday extended an olive branch of sorts to the “American Idol” runner-up who made headlines with his provocative performance last month at the American Music Awards in which he kissed a male musician.
ABC canceled Lambert’s scheduled appearances on “Good Morning America” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and stopped considering him for “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” which drew thousands of complaints from viewers and gay advocates who believed the network was retaliating against him because he is gay.
On Friday night, Lambert took to Twitter, where he first announced the cancellations, to tell his fans that he will appear on “The View” next Thursday.
Without offering an explanation and declining to comment, ABC confirmed the appearance.
Lambert will be interviewed by “The View” hosts and will perform. Both will be pre-taped because Lambert has a scheduling conflict and cannot be in New York on Thursday, sources said.
Lambert will appear on “The View” the morning after his interview with Barbara Walters for her “10 Most Fascinating People” special on ABC. The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, which earlier accused ABC of subjecting Lambert to a double standard, applauded ABC’s invitation.

Meredith Baxter has always been known for playing quintessential TV mom on Family Ties. During an interview with Matt Lauer on the Wednesday episode of the Today show, Meredith Baxter publicly came out of the closet, leaving some fans shocked considering Baxter, formerly Meredith Baxter Birney, has five children ranging from 20s to 40s, and has been married three times.

In a candid new interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” Rosie O’Donnell opened up publicly for the first time about her relationship troubles with partner Kelli Carpenter, took aim at “Late Show” host David Letterman and talked about TV talk queen Oprah Winfrey and the gay rumors.
During her interview on Stern’s Sirius XM show, the shock jock asked O’Donnell about why rumors exist that Winfrey could be gay.
“I don’t know. I think she’s never been married and she’s exceptionally close to Gayle [King],” O’Donnell, who was promoting her own Sirius XM show, “Rosie Radio,” which stars next Monday, said. “I don’t know that she and Gayle are necessarily doing each other but I think they are the emotional equivalent of…“A gay couple,” Stern chimed in.
“When they did that road trip, that’s as gay as it gets,” O’Donnell said. “And I don’t mean it to be an insult either. I’m just saying, listen, if you ask me, that’s the couple.”
Winfrey and King have long denied the rumors.
