Nicollette Sheridan Drops Abuse Charges from Her Current Lawsuit

Nicollette Sheridan sued “Desperate Housewives” creator, Marc Cherry for allegedly hitting her across the face while on the set of the hit show. She claims that she was fired by ABC after filing a complaint over the assault. She then filed a $20 million lawsuit against the “Desperate Housewives” producers originally alleging assault and battery, emotional distress, gender violence, and wrongful termination. However, she recently dropped the assault charges. In return, she has avoided avoiding undergoing physical and psychiatric evaluation, which were demanded by the defendants.

Nicollette Sheridan Leaving Desperate Housewives

The gals from Desperate Housewives, Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria Parker, Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross released a joint statement which defends Marc Cherry and as such, inadvertantly slams Nicollette Sheridan. In their statment to Entertainment Tonight, they write, “It would be irresponsible of us to let the public believe that being a part of this show from its inception has been anything but a blessing.” They go on to state, “We have no first-hand knowledge of what Nicollette may or may not have experienced, but we would never characterize our set as a hostile environment. It is, in fact, the opposite. The friendships and support that Marc Cherry, the cast, the crew and the producers have shared for the past six years have made this a wonderful job that we are grateful for every day.”

Nicollette Sheridan Leaving Desperate Housewives

Acording to representatives for Nicollette Sheridan, the star will leaving Desperate Housewives. Nicollette has been nominated for Golden Globe awards for her portrayal of real estate agent Edie Britt. Sheridan plans on leaving the show after the sixth season finale.

Sheridan’s departure does not come as a surprise, after rumored disagreements between the Nicollette and creator Marc Cherry.

Nicollette Sheridan is part of the original cast that debuted in 2004.
