Dr Murray in Financial Trouble before Jackson

The Jackson job offered Murray, 56, a lifeline for a man struggling financially.

Courts in Las Vegas, where he lived with his physician wife, 19-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter, had ordered him or his business to pay $435,000 to creditors, including a student loan.

His home near the 18th hole of a country club was in jeopardy. Property records show he had refinanced the mortgage at least three times in five years and owed close to $1.7 million on a property now assessed at $1.08 million. By the time the Jackson job came along, it had been months since Murray had paid the mortgage and foreclosure proceedings loomed, according to court records.

He had also fallen behind on child support payments. Birth certificates and other public records indicate that in addition to the two children he had with his wife, Murray had fathered at least four children with three other women.

Files from Las Vegas family court proceedings show he owed thousands of dollars to a California woman with whom he had a son, now 11. He was also helping support two daughters, ages 16 and 8, who lived with their mother in Las Vegas, according to the records. And last March, an actress from Santa Monica gave birth to Murray’s son, according to a California birth certificate.

According to his lawyer, many of Murray’s financial problems arose from providing medical care for the poor.

A song of late King of Pop Michael Jackson, which has never been released, is making rounds on the Internet.

The song, called “Another Day”, is alleged to be a duet of Jackson and singer Lenny Kravitz.

The verse the “Thriller” singer sings seems to be the same as from an older Kravitz song called “Storm”.

Kravitz, 45, had given an interview with Spinner shortly after Jackson’s death where he mentioned working with him on a song that hadn’t been released.

“It is the most amazing experience I’ve had in the studio,” Tmz.com quoted Kravitz as saying about it.

MJ Shrine for Glove planned in Asia

A casino in the Chinese gambling haven of Macau will open Asia’s first Michael Jackson shrine after its owners bought the late King of Pop’s iconic white rhinestone glove for $350,000 at a U.S. auction.

The shrine will be located in the lobby of the casino-resort Ponte 16, adding to Macau’s attractions which already include the world’s largest casino, The Venetian.

“MJ’s distinctive musical sound, vocal style and choreography inspired numerous pop, rock, R&B and hip hop artists,” said Hoffman Ma of Success Universe Group, who has teamed up with Macau gaming tycoon Stanley Ho in the Ponte 16 venture.

“We aim to create a rendezvous to reminisce this great performer of the 20th century,” he added in a statement.

During Saturday’s auction of Jackson memorabilia in New York, Ma’s firm paid $350,000 for the glove, almost eight times the pre-sale estimate amid stiff bidding.

Ponte 16 also snared nine other items that were owned by Jackson, which will also be housed in the “MJ Gallery,” including a signed drawing of Charlie Chaplin, a pair of acrylic tube socks, Jackson’s “zombie” shirt which he wore in the video of “Thriller” and a platinum record awarded for the album “Bad”

“These precious items can revitalize MJ’s legendary career to all his fans, providing them another place to house MJ memorabilia besides the Neverland Ranch in California,” the resort said in a statement, without giving an opening date.

The white glove, which auctioneers Julien’s Auctions, called “the Holy Grail of Michael Jackson,” was worn by the performer when he first staged the famous moonwalk dance at the 1983 Motown 25 television special.

Made of cream leather and studded with hand-sewn rhinestones, the left-handed glove is considered an iconic accessory by Jackson fans.

A powerful anesthetic recovered from Michael Jackson’s bedside after he died had been purchased in Nevada by his doctor who had it shipped to California, court documents show.

Search warrant records released Friday show that Dr. Conrad Murray bought the sedative propofol from Applied Pharmacy Services on May 12, according to receipts found in his Las Vegas medical office.

The Los Angeles County coroner blamed propofol in ruling that the 50-year-old pop music icon’s June 25 death was a homicide. The coroner also cited the sedative lorazepam.

Murray, 56, is the focus of a Los Angeles police homicide investigation, but has not been charged with a crime.

The cardiologist, who is licensed in Nevada, California and Texas, told police he used propofol along with other sedatives to help Jackson sleep.

Propofol is usually used in medical settings by anesthesia professionals to render patients unconscious for surgery. Officials say it is not meant for use as a sleep agent. However, the milky liquid drug is not regulated by state and federal authorities as a controlled substance.
