Ryan O’neal Left Nothing In Farrah Fawcett Will

November 17, 2009 by m.coonce · Leave a Comment

Ryan O’Neal may have been the love of Farrah Fawcett’s life, but their long-time romance evidently didn’t qualify him for rights to her estate.

Fawcett, who died of cancer in June at age 62, did not name O’Neal in her will, a copy of which was obtained by RadarOnline. According to the document posted only, the couple’s lone child together, Redmond Fawcett O’Neal, will receive the most cash of any person named in the will: $4.5 million. Fawcett also left $500,000 to her nephew, Gregory Walls; $500,000 to her father, James Fawcett; and $100,000 to ex-lover Gregory Lawrence Lott.

Academy Award Winner Nicolas Cage Fianacially Strapped

November 14, 2009 by m.coonce · Leave a Comment

Cash-crunched actor Nicolas Cage’s two homes in New Orleans were auctioned off this week, and movers carted away some of the “National Treasure” star’s treasured doodads.

Carpets and a stained-glass window were among the items removed from one house, according to TMZ.com.

The two Big Easy properties, in the French Quarter and Garden District, went under the hammer Thursday after a local lender foreclosed for unpaid mortgage debts, reported the New Orleans Times-Picayune’s site, Nola.com.

Cage, whose father died last month, did not attend the auction, the Web site said.
GOING, GONE: Movers empty a New Orleans home of star Nicolas Cage, who was forced to auction off two houses to pay debts.

The Oscar winner and extravagant shopper — he has owned at least two castles and two Bahamian islands — is currently mired in a money meltdown, with the IRS claiming he owes around $6 million in unpaid taxes.

There were reports yesterday that Johnny Depp would come to his pal Cage’s fiscal rescue. Cage had jump-started a young Depp’s career by directing him to his own agent.

“Johnny called Nic and basically told him not to worry, and he’d help him and sort everything out,” London’s Daily Express said, quoting an unnamed friend.

Cage’s rep, Annett Wolf, denied the claim. “This is 100 percent false,” she told The Post. “Mr. Cage is handling his own financial affairs.” Wolf declined to comment about Cage’s fiscal status.

Cage has blamed his business manager, insisting he sent him “down a path toward financial ruin.”

In a lawsuit filed in California, Cage claims that over a period of seven years, business manager Samuel Levin “placed Cage in numerous highly speculative and risky real-estate investments, resulting in Cage suffering catastrophic losses,” TMZ reported last month.

Levin yesterday did not return a call for comment.

Cage outbid actor Leo DiCaprio at an auction in 2007, shelling out $276,000 for a dinosaur skull, New York magazine said in a recent issue.

As of October 2009, “most of his dozen or so homes, 50 cars, two islands, two yachts and jet have been sold, foreclosed upon or are on the market,” the magazine said.

When it comes to overspending, Cage has said, “I find ways of spending money that mystify everybody around me.”

German Charged in Crawford Embezzlement Scheme

November 14, 2009 by m.coonce · Leave a Comment

A German man was charged with trying to extort $100,000 from Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber over a photo of their daughter bound to a chair and gagged, authorities said.

Edis Kayalar, 26, has not yet been arrested. He was recently deported to Germany.

The photo was purportedly taken by the couple’s former nanny earlier this year and shows the girl, then 7, tied to a chair. Kaia told her parents that the nanny took the picture as part of a “cops and robbers” game, according to an affidavit.

The nanny, who was fired a week before Kayalar called the couple, was not charged; apparently, Kayalar stole the photo from her.

Gerber — who owns the Whiskey Blue bar at the W Fort Lauderdale among other hot spots — eventually paid Kayalar $1,000 “for his trouble,” the affidavit said. But the German wanted more, saying he had another copy.

Jon & Kate go to Court Today

October 26, 2009 by m.coonce · Leave a Comment

Happy days are over!

Happy days are over!

Attorneys for Jon and Kate Gosselin will once again face off in court Monday morning to see whether a Montgomery County judge will initiate contempt proceedings against either one of them.

The couple’s attorneys had filed contempt motions against each other because of money missing from a joint bank account. On Oct. 13, Judge Arthur Tilson ordered Jon to return the $180,000 he took from the account and wanted any other money removed from the account itemized to make sure it was spent according to a divorce arbitrator’s guidelines. The jurist set a deadline of Monday, Oct. 26, and said if the money issue had not been not resolved, he would hold a hearing on the matter.

On Friday, Jon’s attorney, Mark Heller, told PEOPLE his client was in “complete compliance” with the judge’s order – but Kate’s attorney, Mark Momjian, said Kate was still waiting for the full amount to be returned. So far, Jon had only returned $28,500, along with a promise to return the remaining $151,500, Momjian said.

Jon had until Monday to return the money.

Meanwhile, Momjian said Kate had itemized how she spent the $55,000 she withdrew and had turned the paperwork into the court before the deadline.

Jon Ordered to Give Money Back

Jon Gosselin has been asked to return a whopping $180,000 to the bank account he shares with estranged wife, Kate, a Pennsylvania judge ordered yesterday.

The cash, which was part of an account that originally had a balance of $232,000, was ruled to have been taken by Jon in violation of an arbitrator’s order. Kate, who had starred in the TLC reality show, “Jon & Kate Plus 8” with her husband, originally alleged that Jon had taken the money and left her with just $1,345 to pay bills for their eight kids and attend to household expenses.

Kate’s attorney Mark Momjian told TMZ that the remaining $55,000, which Kate used for household bills and expenses relating to the children, “will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date.”

Kate Gosselin seeks Sposal/Child Support

Moments after renewing their vows - one year ago

Kate Gosselin has filed paperwork asking for child support and temporary spousal support in the wake of Jon Gosselin taking nearly $230,000 from their bank account, says Mark Momjian, one of her divorce attorneys.

“She needs relief in light of the draining of substantial marital assets in violation of the arbitrator’s decision that the money should be used only for specific purposes,” says Momjian, who adds that the economic issues between the Gosselins are being hammered out by a court-appointed arbitrator by agreement on both sides. An arbitrator’s conference is scheduled for Tuesday, he says.

Kate’s application for child support and temporary support was filed last week around the same time as an emergency petition asking a Montgomery County judge to order Jon to return the money, Momjian says. A hearing on that issue was scheduled for Wednesday but was canceled because the judge’s wife died. No new court date has been set.

Jon Gosselin take $200k from Accounts

Jon & Kate minus $200k

Jon & Kate minus $200k

So Jon Gosselin, took $200k from his joint checking account with his wife Kate, leaving her only $1000 for her and the 8 kids. Such a nice guy. All along, he’s been doing shows talking about wanting to stay with his wife, after his career didn’t pan out and it appears that his wife’s is taking off. As you can imagine, Kate is pretty damn upset about it.

Here’s some of John’s rants on Larry King. “I just looked in the mirror and I said, ‘I don’t want to be this person anymore,’” Jon said during his Thursday night appearance on “Larry King Live.” “I made mistakes. I know I messed up. I do regret a lot of things. But I have to learn from those mistakes and move forward.”

Upon learning what happened, Kate hired high-powered lawyer, Marty Singer, who is requesting a judge to hold Jon in contempt of court for emptying out a reported $200,000 from their account, RadarOnline.com reports.

“If the money is not immediately returned, we will be looking into potential claims against Mr. Heller if he had any involvement with the violation of the court order,” said Singer. “It is very disappointing that Jon Gosselin has escalated this to such an ugly place that her lawyers have to do everything they can to protect her and her children from his outrageous actions.”

Jon Gosselin Takes Money from Kate’s Bank Account

Jon Gosselin is a complete retard

Jon Gosselin is a complete retard

The nasty war between Jon and Kate Gosselin just took its ugliest turn yet.

According to Radar Online, Jon cleared out the couple’s joint bank account, leaving his estranged wife with just $1,000. Another account, set up for the Gosselin children, was untouched, Radar reports.

A source familiar with the situation confirmed the details of the report to PEOPLE, and said Kate plans to take legal action.

When initially reached for comment, a rep for Jon was unaware of the situation and had no comment.

The allegation against Jon caps an intensely bitter week between the couple, during which their TLC series Jon & Kate Plus Eight suspended production. The move followed the network’s announcement on Sept. 29 that Jon was being dropped from the show, and him saying he wanted stop the show because it was damaging his children.

Speaking to CNN interviewer Larry King on Oct. 1, Jon, 32, said he last spoke to Kate “3½ weeks ago,” and that she wants to keep the show going “for financial reasons.”

Asked by King how much he made from the series last year, Jon replied $1 million before taxes, $500,000 after.
