Will Forte Leaving Saturday Night Live

Will Forte just confirmed that he is moving on to pursue other opportunities and will not be returnin to Saturday Night Live for it’s 36th season. SNL producer, Lorne Michaels wrote, “After eight great seasons, Will has made the decision to move on from ‘SNL’ to pursue new opportunities. He is eternally grateful to Lorne and all of the incredible people he worked with over the years.” Forte joined SNL in the 2002-3 season and made famous the “MacGruber” character and also co-wrote and starred in the spin off film, “MacGruber.”

Carey Mulligan and Ryan Gosling to Co-Star in Upcoming Movie, “Drive”

Carey Mulligan has been very busy lately! Her latest movie, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” is set to debut in September. She is now gearing up to co-star opposite Ryan Gosling in the adaptation of the movie, ”Drive.” This movie is an action-adventure flick about a down-on-his-luck Hollywood stunt man (Gosling) who is on the run with a mobster’s doll. It is based on the novel by James Sallis and Nicholas Winding Refn is directing.

Sylvester Stallone ‘Honored’ to Ring Bell at NYSE

Sylvester Stallone and his Expendables co-stars (Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Terry Crews) rang the opening bell at the NY Stock Exchange. Stallone opened up about the experience, saying, “It’s amazing - I thought I’d been here before, it was like a deja vu and I realized I’d never been here before, never been at anything like this before, and we’re all incredibly excited and proud and honored.”

‘Entourage’ Coming to an End Next Summer

For all you Entourage fans out there, this will be disappointing news. HBO just announced that the hit show will end next summer. Even more disappointing is that the last season will be shortened to about only six episodes. But, have faith as there is a rumor that creator, Doug Ellin, will do a follow-up movie.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn Release Date Announced

The final installment of the Twilight Series, “Breaking Dawn”, will be split into two movies. The first half of “Breaking Dawn” will be out on November 18, 2011 while the second half will be released almost a year later on November 16, 2012. “Dreamgirls” director, Bill Condon, is set to direct both movies. What will we all do for the next year?
