Neil Patrick Harris set to host Tony Awards.

The producers of the 2011 Tony Awards has officially named Neil Patrick Harris the host of the show.
“Since they’re closed for retooling, we’re using all the rigging equipment from ‘Spider-Man.’ What could possibly go wrong,” Harris joked in a press release.
This will be Harris’ second time to host the show, getting rave reviews in 2009 when he hosted.
Harris said, “I’m honored and stoked to have been asked to host the 2011 Tony Awards. It should be a great show–we’ve got a fantastic mix of live performances and a few secret surprises.”
“We’re thrilled to have Neil back as our host,” executive producers said. “And we’re even happier he fits in the ‘Spider-Man’ rigging.”

According to sources, Neil Patrick Harris is being looked at to host his second Tony Award broadcast. Such colleagues as James Franco and Ricky Gervais will never be asked again but Harris was a humble host with charisma and is good enough to go another round on the award show.
The new dad will be hosting the 65th annual Broadway award show on June 12. Harris hosted the award show just two years ago and got rave reviews.
Jesse Tyler Ferguston, star of ‘Modern Family’ was the first to congratulate Harris in a Tweet saying, “Congrats to @ActuallyNPH for returning as host of the 2011 Tony Awards. He was brilliant a few years ago and will be brilliant again.”

Time Magazine just published their annual list of the Most Influential People and topping the list are Lady Gaga and Robert Pattinson. Speaking of Gaga, Cyndi Lauper wrote, “When I see somebody like Gaga, I sit back in admiration….“I’m inspired to pick up the torch again myself. I did an interview with her once, and she showed up with a sculpture on her head. I thought, ‘How awesome.’” Other musician’s making the list are Prince, Elton John and Taylor Swift. Other TV and film stars making the list are Neil Patrick Harris, Lea Michele, Simon Cowell, James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow, Oprah Winfrey and Ricky Gervais.
