Maxim’s very happy with the successful photoshoot. Though, I seem to remember another photoshoot not too long along ago that was also successful.

Twilight: New Moon - Selling Sex?

Orgy Anyone?

Orgy Anyone?

“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” features long, steamy, smoldering gazes by handsome, shirtless young men who are vampires or werewolves. Despite those lingering, lustful looks the film includes only four kisses and not a single sex scene.

Women and girls, who made up 80 percent of the opening weekend audience, said that is one reason “The Twilight Saga” appeals to them.

“I actually like that, the fact that they don’t have bedroom scenes or anything,” Gabrielle Rivera, 15, said.

Lisa Gradie, who has read all of the “Twilight” books, said she loves it “because the movie is so much about tension, and so much about Bella and Edward and they can’t get together, so the kind of downplayed sexual tension definitely adds to the movie because you’re just waiting for something to happen.”

“The Twilight Saga” stands in stark contrast to other vampire movies or series. From Bela Lugosi to HBO’s “True Blood,” vampires are most often associated with the libido.

Taylor Lautner’s Turn To Swoon: Nov 20th

November 8, 2009 by m.coonce · Leave a Comment

Women swooned for Robert Pattinson as vampire Edward Cullen in last year’s hit movie romance “Twilight,” but in its upcoming sequel Taylor Lautner, who almost didn’t make it into the film, is the newest hunk for fan’s to feast on.

“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” rises in theaters on November 20 as one of the most-anticipated movies early in Hollywood’s holiday season. Predecessor “Twilight” made $384 million at worldwide box offices in 2008, and its young principal actors, Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, shot to overnight stardom.

But in “New Moon,” the second romance about the netherworld adventures of teenager Bella Swan (Stewart) and the love of her life Cullen, it is Lautner who grabs the spotlight.

Twilight and Twitter together

Unofficial “Twilight” Twitter accounts are now out of fashion, as the Saga now has its own official home on Twitter at @Twilight, and its follow list is the most official listing for movie-verified cast accounts that you’re likely to find. The series’ hunks Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner may still be absent from the micro-blogging site – as is Kristen Stewart – but the 20 accounts it does follow span the Cullen family, “New Moon,” “Eclipse” and Stephenie Meyer’s universe.

Here’s a rundown of who they are and where you can find them:

‘New Moon’ Soundtrack Clips

'Twilight: New Moon'

It’s not a leak, but the site British Amazon.com has given fans an unexpected preview of the hotly anticipated “New Moon” soundtrack (which hits stores on October 20) by posting a 30-second snippet of each song on the album.

Which means that, if you were wondering what Thom Yorke’s “Hearing Damage” or the Killers’ “A White Demon Love Song” sounds like, you’re in luck! (BTW, the answers are “An outtake from The Eraser” and “Lou Reed,” respectively.)

Based on these clips, Lykke Li’s “Possibility” evokes a hazy fever dream, Muse’s “New Moon” remix of “I Belong to You” (the original version of which appears on their just-released album The Resistance) is a stately minuet, Bon Iver and St. Vincent’s “Rosyln” is hushed and churchly, and OK Go’s “Shooting the Moon” — with its weird sound effects — reminds us a whole lot of a Flaming Lips track.

The Friday unveiling of snippets from the “New Moon” soundtrack is a fitting way to cap off what’s already been a pretty huge week for members of Twilight Nation. On Wednesday, after months of hype, the video for the first single off the album — Death Cab for Cutie’s “Meet Me on the Equinox” — premiered on MTV, and fans of the series responded with gusto (though they would’ve preferred more shirtless Robert Pattinson, to be honest). And MTV News will have lots more about the soundtrack in a series of articles that begin publishing on Monday!

The Amazon preview only appears on the United Kingdom version of the site; at press time, the U.S. site did not contain any snippets of songs from the soundtrack.

‘New Moon’ Taylor Lautner Ripped

September 29, 2009 by m.coonce · Leave a Comment

Bulking up for a meatier role in the next “Twilight” movie was hard work, Taylor Lautner says. He gained 30 pounds of muscle while on a strict diet and exercise routine.

But it has been even harder putting that buff bod out on display for fans to drool over, the “Twilight Saga: New Moon” star told Us Weekly magazine.

“It’s actually quite uncomfortable knowing so many people are seeing that,” he said. “It’s a little bit embarrassing!”

Last week a new shirtless picture of Lautner from the “Twilight” set caused a stir. The photo was released to promote the “official illustrated movie companion” to “New Moon,” a book due out Oct. 6. Lautner — with shirt — also graced the cover of the October issue of Teen Vogue.

NEW VAMPIRES:

Jane (Dakota Fanning)
She’s a ruthless little one, but in her defense, she had a rough go of it in the days before she was turned into a vampire. Humans thought she and her brother, Alec, were actually witches and decided to burn them alive. The Volturi, who were biding their time before transforming Jane and her bro, were compelled to act earlier than planned. So while Jane may look young, she’s actually been around for a while and maintains a powerful place in the Volturi ranks. Her special ability is to inflict incapacitating pain with her thoughts — a skill she developed after being burned at the stake.

Caius (Jamie Campbell Bower)
You don’t want to mess with this member of the Volturi coven. Turned around 1300 B.C., Caius is mercilessly cruel. One of the three leaders, he’s gunning to exterminate Edward, Bella and Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene), but Volturi founder Aro decides that isn’t the best course of action.

Alec (Cameron Bright)
Brother to Jane, Alec has risen to become one of the Volturi Guard. As with his sister, it’s unknown when he was transformed, nor exactly how old he truly is. What is known is that both siblings are invaluable to the Volturi: Since joining the coven, the group rarely has to engage in actual fighting — the siblings’ skills allow for the outright slaughter of their enemies.

Marcus (Christopher Heyerdahl)
The first pic of Marcus is creepy, creepy, creepy — the thin, red lips, the hands stretching out toward the camera. Since the death of his wife, Marcus has become detached from the rest of the Volturi leadership. Turned at about 1300 B.C., he’s developed almost zombie-like characteristics and is completely apathetic. Yet he maintains the special ability to perceive the strength of a relationship between two people. In this way, he is well aware of the intensity of Edward and Ella’s connection.

Aro (Michael Sheen)
The founder of the coven and its de facto leader, Aro possesses the ability to read a person’s thoughts simply by touching them. Unfortunately for him, this supernatural skill doesn’t work on Bella.
