Reportedly, Nicolas Cage caused injury to his 5 year old son on April 15 while in a drunken state. Sources say there may be an investigation for child abuse due to the injury.

Cage’s wife, Alice Kim, said on the police report that she and Cage were arguing “due to his intoxicated state”and Cage “fell while holding their son. The fall caused the 5 year old to suffer minor abrasions to his left knee.”

A man who witnessed the incident said he saw “Mr. Cage pull the male child to the ground by his hand.”

The report says that police wanted to interview Kal-El, but that Kim did not let them. According to the report, a child abuse detective was notified. The detective reportedly reported that no further investigation was necessary but that Child Protective Services may be contacted.

The Oscar winner reportedly got “very drunk” in New Orleans that night and a taxi driver witnessed the couple having words and saw Cage push his wife. The driver called the police. Kim denied the violence took place and did not press charges and said “her husband was not attempting to injure her, but instead he was attempting to get her to follow him.”

When the officers showed up, Cage taunted them into arresting him. He refused to go home quietly and said, “Why don’t you just arrest me?” The Oscar winner was cuffed and taken in. Bond of $11,000 was posted by Dog the Bounty Hunter.

Reportedly, actor Nicolas Cage and his wife of six years, Alice, got into an altercation on Saturday morning in New Orleans, Louisiana. Sources say the dispute was very public and that the Oscar winner was “very drunk” and a taxi driver witnessed the couple fighting very loudly. Then the cab driver reported that Cage pushed his wife and he called the police.

Cage refused to go home quietly and asked the officer, “Why don’t you just arrest me?” Cage was then arrested and taken in on charges of disturbing the peace and domestic violence. While Cage was in custody, his wife was denying any physical violence and told officers she was not going to press charges.

Cage has had a lot of financial issues lately, including the IRS who are saying Cage owes millions in income and property taxes. Also, in 2009, the mother of his first born son sued Cage for $13 million.

Nicolas Cage was escorted from a bar back to his hotel in New Orleans following another incident. You will remember, Cage was caught on tape outside a nightclub in Romania going ballistic just three months ago.

Officer Juan Barnes told sources that he “can confirm that we did respond to an incident at that location [Stella's] on Friday night at around 10:45 pm and that Mr. Cage needed some assistance to go back to his hotel”.

Officer Barnes went on to say, “A window was found to be broken at the restaurant, but the owners decided it was an internal matter and that they would handle it. “There was no formal complaint or charge written-up.”

This is not the first time Cage has been aggressive. He was also caught on video on the set of the sequel to “Ghost Rider”.

Academy Award Winner Nicolas Cage Fianacially Strapped

Cash-crunched actor Nicolas Cage’s two homes in New Orleans were auctioned off this week, and movers carted away some of the “National Treasure” star’s treasured doodads.

Carpets and a stained-glass window were among the items removed from one house, according to TMZ.com.

The two Big Easy properties, in the French Quarter and Garden District, went under the hammer Thursday after a local lender foreclosed for unpaid mortgage debts, reported the New Orleans Times-Picayune’s site, Nola.com.

Cage, whose father died last month, did not attend the auction, the Web site said.
GOING, GONE: Movers empty a New Orleans home of star Nicolas Cage, who was forced to auction off two houses to pay debts.

The Oscar winner and extravagant shopper — he has owned at least two castles and two Bahamian islands — is currently mired in a money meltdown, with the IRS claiming he owes around $6 million in unpaid taxes.

There were reports yesterday that Johnny Depp would come to his pal Cage’s fiscal rescue. Cage had jump-started a young Depp’s career by directing him to his own agent.

“Johnny called Nic and basically told him not to worry, and he’d help him and sort everything out,” London’s Daily Express said, quoting an unnamed friend.

Cage’s rep, Annett Wolf, denied the claim. “This is 100 percent false,” she told The Post. “Mr. Cage is handling his own financial affairs.” Wolf declined to comment about Cage’s fiscal status.

Cage has blamed his business manager, insisting he sent him “down a path toward financial ruin.”

In a lawsuit filed in California, Cage claims that over a period of seven years, business manager Samuel Levin “placed Cage in numerous highly speculative and risky real-estate investments, resulting in Cage suffering catastrophic losses,” TMZ reported last month.

Levin yesterday did not return a call for comment.

Cage outbid actor Leo DiCaprio at an auction in 2007, shelling out $276,000 for a dinosaur skull, New York magazine said in a recent issue.

As of October 2009, “most of his dozen or so homes, 50 cars, two islands, two yachts and jet have been sold, foreclosed upon or are on the market,” the magazine said.

When it comes to overspending, Cage has said, “I find ways of spending money that mystify everybody around me.”
