Prince William & Kate Middleton Minted on Official Engagement Coin

The Royal Mint unveiled the new commemorative “Royal Engagement Alderney” coin featuring Prince William and Kate Middleton A spokesman for the Royal Mint told UsMagazine.com, “We are delighted to showcase this new coin. The special betrothal design has been approved by Prince William and Her Majesty The Queen.” Only 50,000 of the coins have been created and are available at royalmint.com. It costs around $7.75 and comes with its own keepsake “presentation folder.”

Prince Given Lifetime Achievement Award By BET

On June 27th, BET will honor Prince by giving him with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Those already inducted include James Brown, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross and Al Green. Prince has 10 platinum albums along with 30 Top 40 Singles. Queen Latifah will host the show and Kanye West will be one of the many famous performers there to honor Prince.

Time Magazine Most Influential List

Time Magazine just published their annual list of the Most Influential People and topping the list are Lady Gaga and Robert Pattinson. Speaking of Gaga, Cyndi Lauper wrote, “When I see somebody like Gaga, I sit back in admiration….“I’m inspired to pick up the torch again myself. I did an interview with her once, and she showed up with a sculpture on her head. I thought, ‘How awesome.’” Other musician’s making the list are Prince, Elton John and Taylor Swift. Other TV and film stars making the list are Neil Patrick Harris, Lea Michele, Simon Cowell, James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow, Oprah Winfrey and Ricky Gervais.

Prince performs on ‘Ellen’

The one and only Prince performed on The Ellen Degeneres Show today. Not sure how Ellen coaxes all of these amazing guests on her show, but I hope she keeps them coming!

Prince Sings Dreamer and Ol Skool Company on Leno

The Purple One does the blues during his three appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Prince performed Dreamer and Ol Skool Company as well as gave his guitar to a fan.
