For more than four years, actress Elizabeth Berkley (best known as Jesse on the ‘Saved by the Bell’), has led a secret life. She volunteers her time and established ‘Ask Elizabeth’ workshops in various schools around the country. She created and designed the workshops to help teenage girls with the self-esteem and provide them with a safe environment to share and confess private problems and thoughts.

Berkley has a book out called ‘Ask Elizabeth: Real Answers to Everything You Secretly Wanted to Ask About Love, Friends, Your Body…And Life in General.’ It discusses some of the issues that the workshops coveer like bullying and relationships. Berkley says the experience has been “humbling,” and her life “has been transformed by it.”

The star says she saw where there was a void for teenage girls so she developed the program to assist in filling in that gap. The program is a two hour interactive workshop. Berkley said she started it in New York while working onn Broadway and after doing a few, began getting telephone calls from schools wanting to know if she would come and hold her workshop

Berkley says she does not have all the answers, instead she sets the framework to assist the girls in helping each other. She says she does not talk at them, but with them.
