The country band, The Bellamy Brothers, claim that Britney Spears’ new song Hold It Against Me rips off their song entitled If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me.
The Bellamy Brothers, a famous country duo from the 70’s and 80’s are upset with Britney Spears over her new single “Hold it Against Me”. The brothers say Spears ripped off the lyrics to their song “If I Said You Have a Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me”. The Bellamy Brothers released a novelty single in 1979 titled “If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me.” Spears’ single is built around the chorus “If I said I wanted your body now/would you hold it against me?”
“That little song went #1 and has since become one of the defining songs of our career,” said David Bellamy. The duo claims that there are many similiarities with the two songs.
Not that Spears’ fans care. Spears’ song has quickly become the most downloaded single. No word yet on whether or not the Bellamy Brothers will file charges.

Did Britney Spears reject a tell-all book deal worth $3 million?
Us Weekly claims that Britney Spears has snubbed multimillion dollar offers for her memoirs from HarperCollins, Random House, and Little Brown. It was reported that Britney was looking for closer to $8 million.
She should have taken the $3 million and ran for the hills.
