TLC and Jon Gosselin have settled their lawsuits against each other. Though the details haven’t been released, it’s reported that TLC still considers the entire family to be under contract. When asked if Jon was expected to return, TLC made it clear that he will not be returning to any shows.

Though, since he’s under contract, he can’t go on any other shows either. Which is what started the lawsuits.

Plans are in the works for Kate and her kids though. A date is expected soon.

Judge Rules against Jon Gosselin

Jon Gosselin has been ordered to stop touring. Losing the battle with TLC.

“The Court has validated our view that Mr. Gosselin has a valid, binding contract and that he has breached it repeatedly. Step one – getting the court to order Mr. Gosselin to comply with his contractual obligations – has been accomplished,” TLC said. “Any further breaches going forward will be violations of a court order. We look forward to the next phase of the litigation, which is to pursue our claim for damages resulting from Mr. Gosselin’s numerous breaches.”

TLC Still Has A Lawsuit Against Jon

TLC Still Has A Lawsuit Against Jon

Those hoping the final episode of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” meant “goodbye, Jon Gosselin!” might be disappointed. Sure, after four seasons of cute-kid hi-jinks and one uncomfortable season of grown-up domestic discord, the TLC reality show bearing his name ended Monday night. But don’t be fooled. The father of eight still has plenty of headline-grabbing unfinished business with his former network ahead of him.

The problem is that pesky breach of contract suit against Gosselin, the one in which TLC claims he took on unauthorized television work while under an exclusive agreement with the network. It seems every few days there’s a new twist or turn, and it hasn’t even gone to trial yet.

The latest development, according to gossip site Radar Online, is the discovery of taped business talk that could be a boon for TLC’s case. The recorded phone conversation between Gosselin’s manager, Michael Heller, and former BFF Michael Lohan allegedly reveals the reality dad’s out-of-bounds deals and just how much of a cut his pals would have made.

Jon Gosselin Too Famous To Work?

Too Famous to Work Bitches

Too Famous to Work Bitches

Recently released court papers reveal that Jon Gosselin may be the first person ever to plead “famous.”

Documents from Gosselin’s recently filed contract lawsuit against “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ network TLC itemize the octodad’s issues in his own words, reports RadarOnline.

In an affidavit, Gosselin states, “Now, I find myself unemployed and without the ability to secure non-entertainment related engagements because the enormous Media interest, cameras, reporters and public interest makes it impossible to carry on normal daily activities, let alone find, secure and maintain a job with an employer who is willing to be exposed to the daily Media intrusions that has impeded by life.”

While he may have a point there, Gosselin, 32, discredits himself by implying that TLC played favorites with Jon and estranged wife Kate.

“The Plaintiff has promoted and even facilitated opportunities and appearances for my wife,” Jon states, “yet attempts to restrain and enjoin me from making a living for my family.”

It is all part of Jon’s $5 million countersuit against the network, accusing TLC of violating Pennsylvania’s child labor laws, cutting Jon off from the media and owing him $175,000.

TLC to Subpoena Everybody

Jon Gosselin’s girlfriend Hailey Glassman and his friend Michael Lohan are among the witnesses TLC plans to subpoena in a breach of contract lawsuit filed against the reality star, according to new court papers.

Maryland’s Circuit Court of Montgomery County has granted motions filed by the network’s lawyers to depose Glassman, 22, Lindsay Lohan’s dad Michael, 49, as well as Gosselin’s lawyer Mark Heller, manager Michael Heller, bodyguard Thomas Meinelt and his talent rep Matthew Kirschner.

In October, TLC sued Gosselin, 32, for breach of contract, accusing the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star of making paid and unpaid television appearances without TLC’s permission. At the time, Mark Heller called the action “baseless” and said the network “exploited, manipulated and abused the Gosselins’ vulnerability and financial hardship.”

Kate Gosselin Q&A to air on TLC

October 21, 2009 by m.coonce · 1 Comment

TLC is billing next week’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 as “You Ask, Kate Answers,” in which Kate Gosselin will answer viewers’ lingering questions. Okay, I’ll bite: Is there actually anything left that we don’t know about Kate Gosselin?

We know the details of her marriage, we’ve watched her parenting skills, we’ve seen her get surgery, we’re in the process of watching her get divorced. We’ve seen her at some high highs and strange lows. We’ve watched her substantively change, and in the process we’ve sort of changed, too; First we loathed her, then we sympathized, then we sort of just winced as she and her soon-to-be-ex-husband aired all their dirty laundry on any news outlet that would have them. It wasn’t that their personal business was particularly tawdry. If anything, it was disappointingly banal, its own self-perpetuating cliche about fame and ambition.

My question, I guess, is less for Kate and maybe more for you and for me then: What is it that makes Kate Gosselin a person of interest? Why do we watch her shows, why are we following — and in doing so, creating — her story? What part of ourselves do we see and are we afraid to see through the lens of a Jon & Kate fame cycle?

TLC sues Jon for Breach of Contract

Jon Gosselin: Going down in Flames

Jon Gosselin: Going down in Flames

Public enemy Jon Gosselin is still holding tight to his title. Last Friday, it was reported that the Jon and Kate Plus 8 (minus the Jon) star has been sued by TLC for a breach of contract. That morning, the network filed the lawsuit in Maryland for several reasons.

According to E! Online, TLC didn’t sue because Jon tried to stop production for the show. It’s because the reality TV dad signed an exclusive contract with TLC and isn’t supposed to be whining about his life by giving unauthorized interviews . The thing is, the network hasn’t allowed him to blab on programs like The Insider or Entertainment Tonight, since they’re paying him to appear there.

Another reason why TLC has been on Jon Gosselin’s case (and who isn’t?) is that he’s ignoring obligations to shut up about his private life. For months now, the network has supposedly been trying “privately and patiently” to convince the dad of eight to honor his contract. Of course, we all know that Jon’s stupid stubbornness have made “those efforts [...] unsuccessful,” as TLC’s statement says.

Jon sat down with US Weekly last Monday to talk about his separation an the show. “I wish I had a 9 to 5 job instead of the nightmare I’m living. This is 24/7,” Gosselin said.

Last season he talked about not being sure if they would return, and now that they’re back, he talks about how he needs to stay on the air, because it is their financial livelihood. It’s estimated that the couple make about $75 k per episode.
