Wyclef Jean Discharged from Hospital

Wyclef Jean was hospitalized and then released yesterday apparently due to stress and fatigue. He is under the care of his physician and ordered to rest for the next couple days. This comes after his bid for the Haitian presidency, which he dropped out of because he failed to meet the country’s residential requirements. The Grammy winner is said to be focusing on his new album.

Yet another story about a rich and famous celebrity not paying taxes! What the fuck! They have more money than they need yet are too cheap to pay taxes like the rest of us. Apparently, court records dating back as far as 2004 reveal that Jean and his wife owe over $5 million in Federal IRS and state tax liens on properties in NY state, New Jersey and Florida. Want more disgusting news? Apparently, more liens have surfaced revealing that Jean also failed to pay more than $2.1 million in taxes on his Saddle River Borough property from 2006 - 2008.

All this and rumors that Jean also skimmed money from the Haiti relief fund he set up in his name…..and this guy wants to run for president in Haiti?

Wyclef and Clooney to Host ‘Hope for Haiti’

Wyclef Jean will join George Clooney and CNN’s Anderson Cooper in hosting MTV Networks’ “Hope for Haiti,” the global telethon to air commercial-free across ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT on Friday, January 22, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
