Bad plastic surgery happens when someone feels pressure to look good and they have more money than brains. Which pretty much describes the majority of celebrities out there.
Some of the following don’t quite look like human beings anymore, which would be tragic (this is voluntary! they didn’t have to look like this) if it weren’t so stupid. Most of these people were genetically blessed to begin with, which makes you wonder why they would risk their good looks just to hold off from aging a tiny bit longer. And many of the younger celebs on this list have absolutely no excuse at all, as good diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle would have fixed most of any flaws they felt they had.
Here are the fifteen worst celebrity plastic surgery disasters we could dig up, some of which are pretty damn horrifying:
15: Tara Reid

She’s only fifty years old, and she’s pretty much ruined her face. If I didn’t know it was her I would have honestly pegged the person in the first picture as a woman in her sixties.
3: Pete Burns

If you’re wondering who Pete Burns is, don’t feel bad, he’s a fairly obscure singer (he’s the You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) guy), but his plastic surgery sins are definitely egregious enough to be included this highly on the list. Now granted part of what you’re seeing there is intentional (this is a guy who has accused Boy George of ripping off his image), but those lips are absolutely frightening. Burns agreed and actually filmed a special in the UK called Pete Burns’ Cosmetic Surgery Nightmares.

This woman has spent $4 million on plastic surgery. I would want my money back.
Jocelyn is a wealthy socialite whose husband began cheating on her. To win him back she began undergoing plastic surgery to transform into a giant cat. Her husband likes big cats. Naturally.
Didn’t work however, and her husband said “She seems to think that you fix a face the same way you fix a house”.

Could it really have been anyone else? It’s incredible to forget how absolutely normal Michael Jackson looked back in the 70’s and 80’s (attractive even!) before turning into the sideshow freak that he is today. The guy is absolutely looney tunes so it’s kind of a shame that he was always able to find a doctor to do what he wanted. Everyone should have told him no after a certain point, which was probably in about 1985.
You forgot Farrah Fawcet. Last time I saw her she really scared me. Probably in the top 5.
Gary Busy had the plastic surgery to fix damage from a serious motorcycle accident. It is an entirely different issue from the rest of these people. For all we know he could have had the most amazing surgery of all time to look that good.
Kenny Rogers: When I first saw him with his “new face”, I thought he must have been in an accident. Why else would someone CHOOSE too look like a burn victim?
Hilary Duff: LEAVE HILARY ALONE! AT LEAST SHE’S NOT BRITNEY! Then again, that picture definitely gives her a “horsey” look to her mouth.
Donatella Versace: When I saw this, I said to myself, “I don’t remember the scene in ‘Batman’ when Jack Nicholson wore a platinum blonde wig?”
Michael Jackson: I can’t even look at that picture. Not only is he hideous, but his eyes totally creep me out.

Hey, you need to add Robert Redford! The guy used to be handsome, with crinkly happy smiling eyes. That was a good part of his charm. The dents are from a scar tissue buildup that pushes in on the implant and are not uncommon. They require a small surgical touch up and are no big deal. Or a bigger implant will push them out, which is why some stars seem to get bigger and bigger.
Further more, I wish my implants looked as “bad” as Victoria Beckham. They look great. With time, usually 6 mos., they will relax under the muscles a bit and not have that baseball look.

What scares me more than these has been “stars” is the regular folks that are running in to get things done - worse yet putting it on the credit cards. scary when folks are buying into this crap. frankly I think people look hundreds of times better natural, aging naturally, and accepting themselfs gracefully.

I think cosmetic surgery is not a proper way to improve your self-esteem when you feel pressure. People who had their cosmetic surgery done might have misinterpreted about the meaning of beauty. They assume that beauty is something based on their physical appearance but not based on their brain, behaviors, or attitude. As we are aware, beauty is not eternal and cosmetic surgery can’t change our personality. Furthermore, the side effects are unpredictable and it’s so dangerous when you inject some particles or elements into your body. Sometime the result is not same with our expectation. ^_^

In my opinion celebrities have too much money. Rather than spending their money on plastic surgery they should spend it for good and useful things. Instead they destroy their natural beauty by doing all these unnecessary surgeries to their bodies. I don’t see the sense in doing this. Is it me, or do these people seem to get caught up in a vicious circle and an increasingly desperate struggle to keep up with the problems they wouldn’t have if they’d just left well alone in the first place?
You have a face-lift, it’s a bit too tight and makes you look gaunt so you have cheek injections/implants. Now you look disproportionate so you have a chin implant, then your mouth is getting lost in the middle of all this so you have collogen injections. All the messing around has pulled your wrinkles out of place so it all starts again.
Same with body stuff; you have lipo to get rid of the fat, then you’re unhappy about your boobs so you have them lifted. Then they’re too small so you have implants. Now your bum’s too small so you have implants, but now you look strangely proportioned so you have more lipo, and further surgery to sort out your scars.
As you sort out big faults you start to notice smaller and smaller ones, and it’s a never-ending battle to keep up, always substituting a quick-fix for hard work and actual self-esteem.
Sometimes plastic surgeries can be priceless! Not the cost but the result of the surgery.

Sorry to say but I actually felt better after seeing this story. We all hav things we would like to improve about ourselves. These people had the money to do it. BUT after doing it they didn’t get results they wanted. So they went back and back etc… I figure you can only have one plastic surgery of it’s kind and that’s it (face lift for example). While their are very good plastic surgeons. Since plastic surgery is mostly a choice. The surgeons have to SELL the results leading to high expections which are not me. This leads to repeat surgery for those with unlimited money and of course the problems above.

I do not think it’s low self-esteem that drives people to do that. It’s rather vanity, boredom, too much money to spare and being so spoiled by the success they lose touch with reality and imagine they can be young forever.
Film stars are not very bright for the start, and there are many clever surgeons who can prey on that and promise them God knows what. These people are so dettached from the real world, that they are actually prone to believe it is possible not to age. They pay a high price for that.
Plastic surgery should be for those after accidents, mastectomy etc., because there are people who really do need it. Most of celebrities don’t. They are so infatuated with their beauty, that they want to keep it forever and make it even better. They very often cross the line though, in this race for perfection.

I have to say I feel sorry for all of you that had bad surgery. I have had my nose fixed in 1984 with no pain little swelling and not one problem my son just had surgery this year by the same doctor same results as I did. If you have the right doctor you will not have a problem. The doctor i used as of this date has done over 8,000 noses alone. He dose all phases of plasticsurgery and is known to be the best in the Country. I also had double ear surgery with just a local and had no pain. The local felt like a little poke with a needle that’s it.

i think it’s messed up how sites like these are made for the sole purpose of making celebrities look like freak shows.
yeah, the rich and famous are abusing their wealth by spending so much on altering what God gave them for their vanity (with an exception for gary busey; i heard he needed it due to an accident.), but there could be a lot of reasons for their actions based on how they think/feel on the inside.
michael jackson is #1 on this list and i absolutely HATE how he is viewed by the public, with all the scrutiny towards his looks. he had a really rough childhood. his dad always made fun of his nose, saying it was too big and just calling him ugly in general, which was the trigger of it all.
michael jackson is not a freak. he’s a human being who has been hurt emotionally throughout his entire life. it’s painful to see how many people mock him and butcher his appearance. it’s even more painful to imagine how HE feels about it and the fact that he never retaliates when it must be killing him.
as contradictory as it sounds to say, “look for someon’e true beauty on the INSIDE”, (since most of these celebs have focused on changing the outside) maybe that’s what they wanted all along; for someone to admire their inner beauty, but they got lost along the way thinking they needed to improve the outside first.

With a washboard abdominal region, I always joked about nip & tucking stuiff. Like if you need to enhance…. then, go ahead….. if it comes out perfect enough to make me happy and make the confidence level get boosted. But a few pounds overweight and it’s scary.

2) I agree Ashley Simpson is better looking that Jessica Simpson. Ashley was never the one that needed the beauty assistance. Ashley lucked out with such a perfect cosmetic job, but now she seems like a more fragile doll.

4) The story of Jocelyn Wildenstein, NYC Socialite put me to tears. I’m glad she’s strong enough to handle the limelight. The media can be so wicked.
If I were her, I’d throw some lawsuits on the plastic surgeons, show producers, writers, directors, etc…. just for comparing her to animals in the wild. That is mean and completely uncalled for behavior. Jocelyn seems like such a nice natured woman. I understand her want to be more appealing. It’s natural. Sometimes, we all go through the need for a security blanket. Wildenstein’s was cosmetic surgery to as attractive as she possibly could. She has my deepest sympathy.

It is so sad , especially when women of a certain age begin to feel the pressure to be younger, thinner, etc…. It is so prevalent I wish that I could just share with them that I adore the continuity, the progression of a charactor and also the natural progression of them as person. Keep youself healthy and interested and interesting! Believe in yourself. Please use procedures very sparingly if at all. It is really difficult to look at with HD and it also distorts normal reactions. I have become so sad more than once watching a show with a woman that I admire like Christa Miller of Scrubs that I can no longer watch the show. I admired her acting, her wit and charm. Now her face is sadly distorted it looks like she is struggling to emote. Her face betrays the emotions she is portraying. She rushes out of the scene and I am happy to see her leave, then sad. I no longer watch the show. Why would this this intelligent comedic actress do this? So many shows pass by me I can’t watch any shows or movies where actors are evidently altered.
Making someone look 10-20 years younger can be done. But making someone look someone 10-20 years younger and still look human has yet to be done. When an actor/actress has this done to themselves they’ve pretty much thrown their career away, at least insofar as any serious work. is concerned. Opposite example of less is more: Helen Mirren, who does look her age (63) and is still a knockout and an actress an director would be lucky to work with.

Michael jackson was diagnosed with lupus, a hereditary disease that will cause other disorders such as a disorder which will cause loss of pigmentation. Also you might learn that when michael was losing his color make up artists would cover any revealed skin including his arms to cover the blotches. The color of make up would change over the years as he lost more and more of his pigment. This is the reason idiots like you actually believe the rumors that michael had operations to make his skin lighter.
Let’s go with the idea that Jacko lost his skin pigment due to disease. Could be true. Then we’re left with only the cheek, chin, nose, lip, and forehead changes. Were those due to disease also?

It’s the doctors who botch the work. No one goes into the doctor asking to look like a freak. You have no control over what the doctor does. It’s a roll of the dice, and once you’re cut that’s it. Don’t sign a binding arbitration agreement. They will try to bully you into it. You don’t have to sign it. If they tell you no one else has had a problem with it, that is a red flag. Never give up your rights in advance. Binding arbitration generally favors the doctor and also keeps any lawsuit off public record which is how doctors often keep their botching secret

The catwoman was so attractive but apparently she didn’t see herself that way. Many women have cheating husbands but they don’t going around changing their faces to look like cats. They get out of the relationship and start dating young men. I supposed if catwoman’s husband liked giraffes, she would have tattooed brown spots on her face and had some horn looking things implanted into her skull. I feel sorry for her kids.

I think the reason why attractive people get plastic surgery is of course, to hold off the aging process. It’s hard to see your face change. It’s happening to me and there’s a sense of panic, so I understand. Unfortunately, there’s also this unbelievable pressure to be perfect nowadays, with people in magazines and the internet constantly criticizing
them. The saddest trends are people making their noses tiny and pointy

In re: the remark about Don Stroud belonging in the 10 worst pastic surgery jobs. You need to read a newspaper sometime. Don Stroud was attacked in Greenwich Village by muggers in 1990 and stabbed multiple times. The attack left him blind in his right eye. While he may have had some restorative plastic surgery afterward, he has not had any elective surgery for age or cosmetic correction that did not entail repairing the damage done in that attack.
This plastic surgery has many damages especially for the face like this Cat woman who destroyed her beautiful face to a terrible incubus .
The physicians who perform these surgerys are bad plastic surgeons and money hungry. Any plastic surgeon worth his/her salt would NOT do this to another human being. A master craftsman (in any trade) knows that there is a correct and incorrect way to do a job. If they don’t know this difference, they are not a master at their craft. Also, people should not go to a physician blindly. Do your homework. Research the plastic surgeon. Find out his/her credentials. Where they went to school, how many surgeries have they performed, and are they Board Certified in plastic surgery. If you are having a face lift, make sure he/she holds an additional certification just for face lifts. Also, check them out to make certain they go through continuing education seminars on a yearly basis to keep current. Just like auto mechanics, there are good ones and then there are bad ones.

The pressure, mostly placed on myself, was unreal. And I never really thought I was quite good enough. In my thirties, I was able to afford as much plastic surgery as I wanted. And I took full advantage of that. I’m now in my late forties and am still in a high-profile business, And I suppose I should be happy that I am still considered attractive, but I just don’t look like ‘me’ anymore. And people have said the most horrid things about my plastic surgery. It’s crushing. I feel bad enough as it is. And, sadly, the shit I did to my face is irreversible. I would give anything to be a middle-aged version of my original self. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for high-profile celebs to have the kind of regrets I have. Provided that they are unhappy with what they’ve had done, I hope they are emotionally immune to the kind of cruel remarks here. I can tell you from experience it’s a nightmare to feel like you fucked your face/body up. YOU (the ones of you who have spoken so harshly) are the truly ugly ones.

His makeup artist Karen Faye talks about how when he was younger she would use darker makeup to even his face out, but when the majority of his body was lighter as it had spread, it was just easier to use the lighter makeup at that point. So all you haters who think that M.J. wanted to be white, you are wrong, he had no control of it.

As for Hillary Duff, I don’t even know why she’s on here. She looks just fine. It’s not bad at all. Her teeth don’t look any bigger than Jessica Simpson’s teeth do, and she is on here for the lip injections. Many people get their teeth capped. it’s not nearly as bad as putting a knife to your face. The cat woman should be #1 worse plastic surgeries of all time.

ok it’s been proven that Michael Jackson suffered from vitiligo, so people can stop being so cynical about his change in skin colour. If you look at pictures of him over the years, the difference isn’t so outrageous. He definitely chnges his nose quite a bit, but as far as his eyes, jaw, and cheekbones, I don’t think he’s done anything there. The change in his skin colour definitely emphasized his features. His eyes look bigger beucase his skin is so light, it blends in with the white of his eyes, so he has eyeliner at the bottom to probably distinguish where skin ends. As for his cheekbons, have you seen Janet’s, Jermaine’s and their mother’s? They all have very prominent cheek bones. He was so skinny that his cheelbones really popped out. His jaw line is the same as during the Thriller days. His transformation isn’t so outrageous as people think. Get over it.

well, i love all the plastic surgery i have done on my body, but i was very carefully in choosing the right doctors. the big mistake a person can do with a cosmetic doctor is asking for discount.
sleep and exercise is one of main consideration after a surgery.no sun for 6 months.. for liposuction?exercise, massage with vitamin E oil, and iron supplement. there is nothing wrong to be pretty, but be pretty for yourself, not to hold a guy. this celebrities, drink, party and have no time to heel, plastic surgery is a main surgery,it take 3 months to 9 months to recuperate. breast implants are the only thing that hells fast.

He had a nose job because he got picked on all the time as a kid and getting ppicked on like that is really bad for the mind. He was a perfectionist and he wanted himself to be perfect but when he looked in the mirror all he saw were flaws and flaws. He wanted to look perfect for his fans because thats what he felt like was right. It is really sad and know some of his pain because it has happened to me. I’ve permanently lost nervous sensation in different parts of the face thanks to this doctor. His technique is very bad and there is tremendous side effects that he forgot to mention or just didnt know. “I’m an artist” is his favorite phrase. Don’t make me laugh, I’ve mentioned his plans to other doctors and even they thought his strategies were quite unusual and some laughable. I repeat, he has one of the worst artistic taste in this business. I’ve gotten far better results from others and their prices are not even close to his. Texas Medical Board needs to look into this man.

I for one question the reasoning behind plastic surgery. It’s one thing to have it done if you had a horrible accident and your face got badly disfigured and you’re unable to function normally. But there’s nothing wrong with your face and you’re perfectly able to function, then leave your face alone! Why mess with a good thing?

It’s funny how the comments changed from the beginning of the forum to the the end. At first a lot of people talked caca about Michael and now everybody wants to RIP him. It’s funny that it is okay to say horrible things about him when he is alive but not when he died. If you gonna be real, be real people. It’s just so sad what Michael had to go through and lists like this are the reason he had to suffer and in fact all of the celebrities on this list suffer. Can’t y’all just leave people alone? These people are probably surrounded by people that negatively guide and influence them and have nothing better to do with their money, just like Michael. Michael was surrounded by evil, spiteful, selfish, money and power hungry people that were only out to push their own image or company (for example Al Sharpton).Or they were using him for some sort of service, power or amount of money. They were gonna get it one way or another, hence the two child molestation accusations. i think we can all learn from their mistakes, sure they all look bad but it teaches us not to mess with are looks if you have somethng that really needs to be fix fix but if it doesnt need to be fix dont even do anything to it.

Beauty is only skin deep people, its not whats on the outside of a person, its what is in their heart that counts the most…looks like this lesson could be taught to the poor souls that ruined their temples, and to the people that are passing judgment on them. I think this whole site is bogus and shame on you for making your rude and nasty comments about people in the lime light who cant help what has been done to them. In most cases it started with one correction and with that correction comes again judgment so then another correction to fix the last and the cycle repeats itself, so maybe we shouldn’t pass judgment and let the good lord do HIS job.

Some of these creatures are hideously malformed, the really sad thing is its self inflicted. I have no sympathy for even one of them, to be this vain, I can think of only two words, just desserts.
I disagree with these people who are trying to stick up for them. They were pretty before, & then they just got too caught up in the “time period” and they ruined their beautiful faces. No one should get this stuff done to them. It’s sickening to see, & it’s ruining who you really are. You should be proud of who you are, & don’t let anyone talk you into doing this horrible thing. It would be okay if you were in a bad accident and you needed to get plastic surgery, but don’t do it just to look better. Because, as you can see here, they don’t always work out.

All the money in the world can’t buy you your self esteem. These women have everything: money, power, success, fantastically wealthy husbands (who admittedly cheat on them - but hey, rich or poor, what man doesn’t) and yet they resort to the deliberate distruction of their faces. I don’t get the psychology that drives this. I am a 50 year old woman with no wrinkles and no crows feet and a limited purse and I look better than these women. Looking at these people, tells me I am so much better off without money. And so much more beautiful!

I feel for Melanie Griffith, as she has had a rough go of it, from substance addicition, to how hard it was for her to get the role in Working Girl. To me, it looks like she may have had some of those “face peels” and probably other treatments like that, which have ruined the appearance of her skin, and then perhaps also the face lifts. I also feel badly for Kenny Rogers. Even he admits, he would have been better off to appear “older” than his “after” shot. You failed to mention Markisa Hargitay who has had her plastic surgery struggles … lip enhancement.
It’s almost like we’ve forgotten what “normal” really looks like.

In my opinion, Hilary Duff’s dental surgery shouldn’t have been done in the first place. I think her face was fine way back then. Implant jobs are a no-no for me too. Silicone is rumored to be cancerous, and it wouldn’t look natural. Despite the light and the glamour here in Las Vegas, most of us still prefer to look natural.
That Joselyn cat lady should be ashamed. She was so pretty before. She didn’t need to mess with her face like that. And why isn’t Joan Rivers on this list?

Um…you keep saying the breast implants that are dented are bad implants. That is called capsular contracture and can happen to anyone with implants no matter how good the boob job. It’s the way the scar tissue forms on the implant.
