Tim Montgomery: Olympic Sprinter, 5 Years On Heroin Charges

Former Olympic sprinter, Tim Montgomery, found out today that he is headed to prison for five years after being charged with conspiracy to possess heroin with intent to distribute.
Montgomery entered a guilty plea on July 3 after an agreement with government officials and will begin serving his five-year sentence after he finishes serving a four-year term for a check-fraud scheme in New York.
Montgomery was part of the 2000 Sydney Olympic 400-meter relay team and took home a gold medal.
