Whitney Thompson: “ANTM” Cycle 10 Winner
Whitney Thompson won Cycle 10 of “America’s Next Top Model” was the first “plus-sized” or “full-figured” model to do so. The 20-year-old now has a $100,000 CoverGirl contract, a deal with Elite Model Management and a six-page spread in next month’s Seventeen magazine.
The size 8-10 model is happy to speak out against the skinny girls and guys that share the runway with her and is very proud to be a role model for those looking to the modeling world for guidance.
“I’ve already heard online from boys and girls all over the world who are dealing with eating disorders. They’re thanking me for standing up and saying, ‘I am a plus-size model and I am beautiful.’”
I can’t believe how tiny both Regis and Kelly are! I knew Kelly was pretty teeny but put Whitney next to them, who has weight and height on the pair, and she looks like an Amazon woman!
Whitney Thompson what a wonderful rep for ANTM! Beautiful, intelligent and NOT plus size, just a sensible size! In Australia we have not seen the last episodes of this competition and there are four girls left. One of the things I love about Whitney is her understanding of the improvement she needs to make in modelling to succeed. That she is the most beautiful is always obvious. I am going to watch until we see the Finale here, partially because I want to see that superior unwarranted superior, smug look wiped off Dominique’s face!!
