Winona Ryder: Another Case Of Stealing?

Six years after being convicted of grand theft and vandalism for the whole stealing fiasco of $5,000 worth of Saks Fifth Avenue merchandise, Winona Ryder is in the headlines again for a Bulgari bracelet and ring.

So the story is that Ryder borrowed $124,000 worth of Bulgari jewels for a November 20 event sponsored by Marie Claire Magazine in Madrid and then kept them instead of returning them.

The jewelry is now M.I.A. with Ryder claiming that she left them at her hotel’s front desk for safekeeping until a Marie Claire rep came to retrieve the jewels.

The hotel says no surveillance of Ryder handing over the jewels exists and the exchange didn’t happen.

Ryder served three years of probation and 480 hours of community service after her 2001 shoplifting incident.

“I didn’t have this tremendous sense of guilt, because I hadn’t hurt anyone,” she later told Vogue of the “embarrassing” incident.

“Had I physically harmed someone or caused harm to a human being, I think it would have been an entirely different experience.”

No doubt someone is feeling the pain with $124,000 worth of jewelry missing.
