WNBA Fight Video: Los Angeles Sparks VS Detroit Shock

Girl fight! The girls were a little revved up last night and with 4.6 seconds left on the clock, Sparks’ Candace Parker got tripped up with Detroit’s Plenette Pierson and the next thing you know, there was a pile up mid-court.

Detroit assistant coach Rick Mahorn tried to “separate” the players but ended up what looked like pushing down Sparks’ player Lisa Leslie.

The site of the Tuesday night brawl? The Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan which is where the infamous 2004 NBA fight between the Pacers and Pistons took place.

Something must be in the water at that place!

Parker, Pierson, Sparks’ DeLisha Milton-Jones (who punched and pushed Mahorn) and Mahorn were all ejected from the game once order was restored and WNBA president Donna Orender will decide the resulting suspensions.

WNBA rules, like the NBA rules, stipulate that anyone that leaves the bench receives a one-game suspension and a fine.

Mahorn needs to stay out of brawls. In the 2004 incident, he was also in trouble for going into the stands and trying to pull back a player from fans. Just stay out of it man. Find a place with a good view and enjoy instead of getting in trouble.
